A pleasure to pick up & read.
Very interesting book about growing up in the 1940s,50s & 60s in a small Oxfordshire village by people who actually lived it! Its factual & humorous with lovely photographs & illustrations. Well worth a read.

Portrait of a village
This is a vivid, detailed portrait of an Oxfordshire village in the 1940s and 1950s. It has the advantage of being written by people who were actually there, rather than by others looking in from the outside. This authenticity makes it an invaluable addition to countryside literature.

A gem of local history
What a lovely book, it brought back memories of living there for 17 years and to read about the early years of the people I knew.
