Nature's Way Biotin Forte, Supports Healthy Hair and Skin*, Energy and Nerve Function*, 60 Tablets

I couldn't find this product at my local pharmacy, so I ordered it on line. It was recommended by my personal physician because I have problems with splitting fingernails. I found that taking one pill in the morning and one pill in the evening has helped my fingernails to stop splitting. As told me by my doctor, it took several months to accomplish this. There is no best way to use this as I started out taking only one pill and found that it slowed the splitting of my nails but didn't stop it. That's why I started taking two pills a day as described above. I'm seeing better results, now. So far, there is no down side to this product. Since the B vitamins are water soluble, they don't build up in soft tissue. That is a plus for me. I haven't checked health food stores for this product, but I have found that purchasing from health food stores is more expensive, anyway.

I've been taking the supplement for about 5 years now. Originally when I started taking the supplement it was because a doctor had spoken to me about it because I was experiencing hair loss from menopause. I have taken this product ever since and my hair is resilient soft and strong. Every time I go to get my hair done my hairdresser comments on how strong my hair is and how thick at my age. In my 50s I just had her strip the hair color out of my hair and it took her 3 times bleaching it. My hair did not lose any of its natural curl and stayed soft throughout the whole process. She states she has never seen anyones hair able to do that and I know it is because of the supplement. I have heard this supplement is for cancer patients who are having chemotherapy and have a chance to keep their hair but it also works for people that are having menopause or if you're just losing your hair. This supplement is a supplement that I will take for the rest of my life.

I am asthmatic and often have to take prednisone, sometimes in high doses and for extended periods. Each time, as I decrease the dosage to wean off, my hair falls out dramatically. (This is a normal side effect from prednisone withdrawal). While I'm not particularly vain, it's still upsetting.A friend who is a nurse recommended that I take biotin. Since I started this product a couple of years ago, I have found that the hair loss is less severe while it's occurring, the falling-out period doesn't last as long, and the regrowth is a little bit faster. It also seems to make my nails a lot less brittle. I start taking it the same day I get put on prednisone now.

Although I don't have scientific evidence to prove it, I'm pretty sure this stuff has been working wonders for my hair and nails. Previously thinning hair and brittle, peeling nails are now strong and thick again - and the only real change I've made has been to add in the biotin supplements.I would continue using these if I hadn't discovered some chewy vitamins which also contain biotin - and are more convenient for me because they're all-in-one and easy to remember since they're so delicious! Anyone who just needs biotin should consider these, though.

My nails had stop growing but after I started taking these pills it was like my nails never stopped. I absolutely love these.

It's was a gift for my sister. SHE LOVES the product. She swear by it results.

This product works wonders. My 3rd purchase and I am still satisfied. My hair has grown and looks healthy. I cant stop clipping my nails. on the skin part I haven't noticed any improvement. (I have terrible adult acne). Nevertheless, i got this for my hair and it's giving good results. I use this as a supplement along with home-made oil treatments. Thank you for a great product.

I have re-purchased these vitamins several times over again. These are absolute wonderful. They give me an energy boost (without caffeine and sugar). My hair and nails are in excellent condition from these. I have been able to grow my hair to the top of my butt, which I have not been able to do since I was in 6th grade in 1992.... that says a LOT about the quality of these vitamins. These vitamins were actually recommended to me by Dr. Najarian who is very well-to-do, influential and makes his own pharma. He stopped making the vitamin B complex I was using and he turned me on to these. And the price is wonderful.Tanya
