A Is for America: A Patriotic Alphabet Book Paperback – Picture Book, 12 May 2011

Bought this book for my granddaughters. It shipped really fast & arrived in perfect condition. I just know they're going to love it. Would highly recommend!

I bought this for my 3-year old and am very pleased. It doesn't go into detail about many of the topics - which it shouldn't as it's a simple ABC book but it has a nice "appendix" at the back that offers more information about people highlighted in the book. It touches key points in our nation's history by highlighting the major accomplishments of individuals such as Benjamin Franklin, Harriet Tubman and Julia Ward Howe.The colorful, child-friendly illustrations invite kids in and keep the "lessons" (as there's not really a strong story-line) engaging.This age-appropriate book is a great way to teach children about America's rich history. I'm glad we've added it to our library.

Love this book. I read it to our baby, but I just love how it covers all aspects of America and patriotism without being too heavy. I think we’ll be reading this book for many more years.

Short, fun, and entertaining. Great for young kids.
