Whats the difference between this and BTR5 ?

These are some of the ways the BTR5 differs from the BTR3K that I am aware of and have direct experience of. On the Fiio site under Bluetooth devices you can find the technical specs. I believe the devices have both been measured by various people online if you're into that The main difference between those devices is power, if you compare the specifications the BTR5 is significantly more powerful than the BTR3K. You may need to raise the volume slider all the way to play a less sensitive headphone at a decent volume on the BTR3K and this will consume more battery power. The same headphone on the BTR5 may be plenty loud at 50% volume and the device will run longer. These devices are not intended to replace a desktop amp and DAC but many people find they can be used beyond the intended role of a highly portable solution, the BTR5 can easily drive a 300ohm headphone like the Sennheiser HD6XX. The BTR5 can play up to 32bit /384khz files when used as a usb DAC. The BTR3K plays 16bit/44khz

The accompanying app for the devices is slightly different, the BTR5 app has more features like DAC filters if you are into that. The devices sound a little different, they both sound great to me. the BTR3K sounds slightly warmer. A well known issue with the BTR5 is it will not allow adjustment of EQ while it is using using the LDAC bluetooth codec. I don't know why this is but I often see complaints about it. I never bother with EQ so to me it doesn't seem like a big deal but it seems to be to some. The BTR5 is bigger and heavier but it is still a very small gadget.
If you are trying to decide between the two and if cost is a consideration I think many people will be content with the BTR3K, it functions as a Bluetooth receiver just as well as the BTR5, is smaller, if you intend to run things like in ear monitors, earphones and run of the mill headphones and you aren't bothered about the very highest res music files and DSD it is a great gadget. If however you think you may want to run more demanding earphones, IEMs and headphones or want to be able to in case you see some you like, the BTR5 has you covered. There aren't many headphones it can't play and those headphones can be difficult for some desktop amps and DAC.s.  The BTR5 can also be operated using the screen and side buttons, most of it's core functions are accessible without the phone app  Hope this is helpful

Would this btr3 power up the senn hd660s which is 120 ohm  or would you have to get the btr5

Probably not, a good drive ability of this BT transmitter/amplifier is for the earphones with an impedance from 16 to 100 ohms. Your Sennheiser HD660 has impedance 120 ohms.

I assume you're referring to the Crossfade LP2s. I don't have them, but looking at their specs (105dB/mW and 30 Ohms), the BTR3k should be okay.
