So Cute!
Gosh, what a good idea! Other companies would make so much money if they made some advent calendars with their products. The only thing I wish for this Pet Shop one is that it was more about Christmas. They had a lot of Winter items, which is ok, but they could have made a Christmas tree and other Christmasy things. Maybe a Santa Claus, a Christmas Tree, Santas Sleigh, Reindeer with bobble heads, Rudolph, and more. Instead they just took their winter products that already exist and put them into this box. That did pose a problem for us since we already HAD those winter items (skates, sleds, hats, hot chocolate mugs, and the same exact animals). So unfortunately my daughter really didn't play with the items much because they were doubles of what she already had. So I wouldn't recommend this for a child who has been into LPS for a long time and might already have these toys. It's best for the younger child who has just discovered LPS.

The box tells too much!
I have 3 daughters, and we do some sort of advent calendar every year. We do the chocolate ones every other year, and some kind of toy one on opposite years. This Littlest Pet Shop Advent calendar was the least fun they all said, because the box told them too much & took away the surprise of daily opening. It clearly said 3 animals, so they knew the rest was going to be accessories, and then the accessories are shown on the box. It isn't a problem there were mostly accessories (although many were pretty stupid - a cardboard box the size of a kids thumb?... ok....). Anyway, this one wasn't anywhere near as cool as the playmobile ones. We will stick to those in the future.

A fun calendar
We gave this calendar to our 5 year old daughter who like Littlest Pet Shop toys. She enjoyed it very much. They gave very cute surprises throughout the month and she was always excited to see what would be next. I would definitely recommend this calendar if your child likes Littlest Pet Shop or if you think they would like it this would be a good introduction to it.

My 2 1/2 year old loved this
It's a very cute Advent calendar for the little set. I was disappointed with the small sheets of stickers and couple little paper present boxes, but my daughter LOVED them. I bought it in the summer when demand was very low and got it for under $10 - well worth that price. If I can find a different version of this for the same price next summer, I will get it for sure.

Not next year....
I purchased this Advent calendar for one daughter and the Lego city advent calendar for my other daughter. Side by side this one lost big time. It is not a lot of fun, many of the prizes are just stupid-seriously, multiple paper boxes? The Lego calendar was a hit in contrast-every day something cool, something to play with, and something to REALLY look forward to. We won't purchase this again.

A list of what we got . . . (spoiler alert, lol)
First off, I will say that I bought this last year on clearance and saved it to use this year. As such, perhaps our expectations just aren't as high (since I did pay full retail)? I didn't expect a pet each day, so the sticker sheet days didn't disappoint us at all.Anyway, here's what we got:Day 1: Visible through the clear window, a purple penguin LPS petDay 2: A hat for the penguin, very cute but a bit difficult to put on and keep onDay 3: A collar? Small flower cuff thing - doesn't seem to really fit on the penguin anywhere, maybe on another pet?Day 4: Orange ski goggles for a petDay 5: A present box. Somewhat cheap, as it's just folded cardboard, printed to look like a gift w/ dog bones printed on the inside.Day 6: Another LPS pet, an ivory polar bear this time.Day 7: 2 tiny plastic cocoa mugs, 1 purple and 1 teal.Day 8: 1 pair of pink pet earmuffsDay 9: Another hat, this time striped and with ear holes to fit the polar bear pet.Day 10: A green plastic snowboard for the pets.Day 11: A lavender plastic toboggan sledDay 12: A formed plastic set of snowballsDay 13: A small teddy bear (mouse?) for the LPS petsDay 14: A LPS puppyDay 15: A blue baby bottleDay 16: A sticker sheet w/ Christmas tree light stickers (to decorate the tree on the box)Day 17: A pair of pink plastic ski goggles/sunglassesDay 18: A blue fabric scarf for a LPS petDay 19: A peach disc sledDay 20: A small green plate w/ a permanently affixed gingerbread man cookieDay 21: A cardboard present box with a picture of shoes in the bottomDay 22: A small yellow hairbow on a coral headband for a LPS petDay 23: A small sheet of 30 tiny ball Christmas ornament stickers in various colors (to decorate the tree on the box)Day 24: A snow bunny (that would be a snowman in the shape of a bunny, ears, tail, etc)I will continue to update til we've made it through the whole calendar, but so far we're happy with what we're getting (especially for what we paid).Alright - done now, and still pretty happy! Yes, there were some 'lesser' days (stickers, and the cardboard present boxes don't look like they'll hold up long), but there were also some really cute pieces - 3 LPS pets and many winter-themed accessories (sleds, hats, the snowbunny and snowballs). Especially for the clearance markdown we got it for, it was well worth it!

Great Advent Calendar for Little Girls
My daughter is 7 and Littlest Pet Shop is right up there with Webkinz and other things. We decided to surprise her and splurge and get this instead of the usual chocolate-filled advent calendars (a difference of fifteen or so dollars).Day 1 contained a Husky dog (a real Littlest Pet Shop pet), Day 2 contained a scarf. Needless to say, my daughter is thrilled and can't wait to keep opening doors.Best money spent so far this Christmas season. (I had to rate it a 4 because it has limited educational value and who knows how durable, but the fun factor alone would make it a 5 otherwise)
