Rebel Cinderella: From Rags to Riches to Radical, the Epic Journey of Rose Pastor Stokes Hardcover – Illustrated, 3 Mar. 2020

I have just finished reading this amazing book and there is little to add to what has already been mentioned in other reviews found here on the Amazon site. I did however feel compelled to add my praise. Rose's story is told here with such compassion and tenderness but with objectivity and balance. More than a biography it is also a cultural and societal study and a fascinating insight into the rise of socialism and communism. I absolutely loved Rose and became so invested in her story. Many tears were shed at the end of this wonderful, moving book, and I just hope more people have the opportunity to discover this inspirational woman and to share this remarkable glimpse of history through Adam Hochschild's beautiful book.
