Hard to lace shoes without metal eyelets

I wish I had a video of it. My mom found old shoe laces like these when cleaning out my childhood bedroom. My cat, Mush, took it off my bed and started to chance it around and play with it. She loves it so much I decided to get her another set. She likes to pull the ends and snap them against the floor kind of like how we would use hair ties in elementary school to snap on people's arms.She even brings it to bed. I frequently wake up in the night to her having left it next to my pillow.Such a great find for my silly little fur monster.

Love these laces

I bought these for my 6-year old's lace-up shoes. While they worked well for the first few days, they started to come apart within the first week. The outside casing wore through in several places and the straight lace poked through, which makes them not curl together. I'll be looking for a different solution.

These places do not hold up well. The shoe lace was exposed from the casing within a week of normal wear. The laces stayed tied. The laces do tie well and hold tightly.

Used these to eliminate tying of tennis shoes. They work well for that purpose and shoes are comfortable with these. However, since they are very stiff by nature, they are difficult to lace into your shoes if you have arthritis in your hands. But overall, they perform as advertised.

My kids loved them when they were kids and my daughters had pairs to match everything they wire.Mil likes that they make it easier to get her feet into her "hands-free" "step-in" shoes because they stretch. Going to spring for some seasonal ones, too, why not?
