Racing through the plot, and suddenly gratuitous torture?
While the fast pacing of the story is usually not a bother to me, combined with the current plot it’s pretty chaotic. The MC allies herself with a new character, who is near instantly killed off to fuel another war. With the MC going “no, she was someone I trusted with all my heart!” Despite it feeling like there was no time for any bond to develop between the two.Basically what happened in both the 1st and 2nd books happens here, only it felt much more rushed and out of place. 3rd time is certainly not the charm this timePlus there’s some weird gratuitous torture going on. The Popedom rushes into full inquisition mode, and rounds up citizens to murder, during this time a side character is built up simply so she can flayed and burnt while her foster family can do nothing but watch. Pretty sick stuff.I couldn’t keep reading after that, but I can tell you what happens, the kingdom burns, the MC goes “do I still human?” The other kingdoms wonder what’s happening. Next book comes out, MC tries to be friends, someone dies, she kills everyone, repeat. I honesty can no longer recommend this series

The Weakest One out of the 3
So it has taken me some time to go through this one now that it has finally come out. And Sadly, I feel that this is the weakest one of the three so far. Not that that means it is bad. But in some areas, the point of view changes during the section. I don't know if it is a translation error or not but that isn't that big of a deal. The biggest issue I have with the book is that it feels disjointed from itself. Obviously, it is set a bit after the second, by maybe a few weeks, but it reads like the timespan was longer. The fights feel...dry, no pun intended, and uninspiring. Even the twists, aren't as surprising considering the amount of foreshadowing and the pacing of the book.I understand that this is to be a more drawn out experience, but I don't need to be told of the twist three times before it happens. The explanation of the settings also feels a bit disjointed. It's hard to picture the Popedom unlike in the previous two works where the setting was clear and distinct. For these reasons, I consider this book the weakest so far. Hopefully, the fourth book helps. And also works to establish the main character's viewpoints a bit better. Cause she feels all over the place at times.

First half pirates, second half war with Popedom
Better than previous volumes. I don’t think there’s that much exposition dump or lengthy explanation. Though, the ending sounds like a narrator ending a season of a tv show with the conclusion/aftermath and setting up for a new arc.Again in this 3rd volume there aways a person (or people) to ignite MC’s intense emotions and strong desire for revenge. But in this volume, I felt said person actually had some character and had more appearance compared to elves and what-his-face in vol 2. When said person died, you can feel MC’s turmoil.Again from this series I looked forward to despair and carnage in vol 3. Last volume was a bit of a disappointment but this volume was an improvement. The past two volumes mentions how sh*tty the top brass of the Popedom was, especially Paris. Sadly, not enough turmoil to see them as a whole taken down a peg. It's a good volume. It kept my interest with Isabelle and the pirate colony. Then the second half with the war with the Popedom.

Another success
What can I say more than that? This story has pulled me in since chapter 1 of the first book. The author does such an amazing job describing the world and characters. The emotions reach new heights and the main heroine is forced to overcome so much that you start to feel it too. The side story at the end was a great as well, not something many authors pull off in my opinion. Overall I enjoyed this immensely and recommend you get started with book 1 of you haven't already. I can't wait for volume 4.

🤩🤩😱😱😍😍😍 I'm lost for words
Well where to begin? 🤔 I have come to love everything about this series, it's characters building story, characteristics and the events that shake them along the way. And also the fact that the majority of the characters are female just like the protagonist which from the novels I have read ARE very few.Spoiler?: This is mainly for the authorJust why did you have to do that to Isabella 😫😭😭😭😭 but keep up the great work 👍🙌 CAN'T WAIT FOR THE NEXT BOOK!!!!

Enjoyable Read!
I've enjoyed following the series so far and can't wait for more. If I could give half a star instead of full then it'd be for this. At the very end, like last page, it recommends another of the writer's books. I cannot find this book. It's more of a frustration than a must but still. Can't wait for more buggy action!

Good book for a good series
It continues the main plot well and we get some cool pirate things as well. New characters and old all good and they do a good job making you hate the holy people and what they do.

Consistently dark and brutal
This series has been dark and brutal throughout - it's also left readers with 3 new questions for every answer or reveal seemingly so far. There are a lot of issues of morality and humanity not so subtly hidden away in the plot and story. The action is intense and at various times brutal. This story goes to some pretty dark places fast and then decides it likes the ride so much it rejoins the queue again and again before memorialising the experience with a trip to the gift shop.Thay being said, I came to enjoy it and have now read all three current volumes of the series. I will definitely pick up volume 4 when it gets released.Just don't expect any resolution to the story in this volume. More is clearly on the way.

Entertainment read
The books in this series in my opinion are very enjoyable to read, theres plenty of character development and the story has development and doesnt just throw you into it and hope you know what's going on it's easy to follow to an extent. Cant wait till the next novel I hope the writer keeps up the good work.

A Great Addition To The Series
This is my favourite book in the series so far and if you've enjoyed the other books in this series, I highly recommend reading this one as well.

Super Buch
