Good quality paracord

Got a wild hair the other day to make some macrame plant hangers for my apartment and I decided to try out this paracord because I liked the price & color.Total beginner here. The pics I've attached show the 2nd hanger I've now ever made (used 3mm traditional macrame cord for the 1st), but you can see that the knots are very consistent, even & straight.If you are looking to use it for macrame & like a very precise line with a variety of color options, I would definitely recommend this paracord. I've actually already ordered several more in other colors.Having not yet used it for any other purpose, I can't attest to any of the cord's other properties or applications (though it is quite sturdy & I have no doubt it would easily support much larger plants & heavier pots than what I've done here.)If you're a macrame newbie like me & about to use paracord for the 1st time, a few things to know...This cord is 100 ft, whereas most traditional styles of macrame cord I was looking into seem to be 100 yds for about the same price. So if you want to try something new @ the lowest possible cost, traditional may be better to start with.Also, because the cord is thicker & somewhat rigid, it will require more length than what a pattern instructs. The pattern I used called for 6 strands of 160" (plus 2 of 30" to tie off @ the top & bottom) & supposedly allowed for up to 2 more of those 'spacer' knots you can see around the foliage. It was a good thing I'd already decided I only wanted to do 3 spacers because there's no way I would've had enough cord to finish my project if I'd done any more. I can't say for sure how much length would need to be added, but I'm sure this has been a topic for crafters before me & I plan to do some research before starting my next project. Tip: look for patterns & knots that allow for changing up your lead cords to help extend the amount of available length you can use.The combo of less cord in the skein & the fact that you'll need to add more length than usual means this will probably only be enough for one project. I have enough cord left after this smallish planter (30" from hoop to bottom w/out the plant) to make 4 more 160" strands. I plan to combine them with another color to make a multicolored hanger, but they obviously wouldn't be enough to make another hanger of similar size. Again, this may be a concern from a bang for your buck aspect.Lastly, as stated earlier, this cord provides a very precise, clean look. It's even got a bit of a color-shifting sheen to it. So it doesn't really have that bojo, shabby chic, organic, rope-y feel to it traditionally associated w/macrame. This doesn't bother me at all as I actually plan to do an eclectic mix of patterns, colors & materials for 2 of the windows in my home and I love how this turned out, but be aware if boho chic is your style.

This is great quality paracord. A bit stiff but that's preferable to being too soft. On the Chameleon shade the color shifting effect is very noticeable and really sets this cord apart from all the rest of my paracord.

As described in description, size, color, and strands. However, upon using, it tends to twist a lot and the inside strands slowly eases it way out, weakening the strength. I get tired of untwisting the cord during the tying. Other than the twists, it works well, ends burn nicely, and does well with holding it's tightness. Depending on what it will be used for, it is a good rope.

If you like Christmas colors all rolled up in to paracord. Then this is the paracord for you.

Nylon (instead of polyester) is what I like for crafting survival or decorative bracelets or keychains/fobs. This paracord had an interesting color and pattern, consistent build quality, and was a fair price. Would buy again.

This paracord is awesome. The colors are really cool. I use this to make lunchbox shoulder straps for the men on construction jobs and cant keep up with my orders since ive switched to atwood. Seriously great quality and a superior paracord to all other manufacturers.
