Tenryu SL-14042C 5-1/2" Carbide Tipped Saw Blade (42 Tooth ATAF Grind - 5/8" Arbor - 0.063 Kerf)

I'm a finish carpenter. I do custom cabinets and trim. I bought this blade for my little skilsaw to replace the (utterly useless) blade that came with it (Great little saw by the way). This blade is awesome. True to its name it reduces the noise level of the saw by 30 - 40% (I may be exaggerating here but it was a big reduction) and produces nice clean cuts. The only issue I noticed is that the blade seems to be a bit smaller than 5-1/2". The depth gauge on my saw and the actual depth of the cut is about 1/8" out. But as I usually measure my cut with the material rather than the depth guage this is of little consequence. I highly recommend this blade.

Wow, this blade made my useless battery powered craftsman saw useful once again.One I got the proper arbor adapter (3/8") this blade installed no problem. I cross-cut a 2x4 without the blade even slowing down. I could not do that with the stock blade. I hope it lasts, but I am very happy for now.I took off a point because the blade you get does not look like the picture. You get a blade that is all black with laser etching.

This saw blade is hard to find locally. i have a mid size Skill saw with this small blade and it works great for small jobs. This blade has almost a precise cut which makes it a high quality blade in my opinion.

I purchased this blade to replace the junk blade that came on my baby Skil saw. When I received the blade in the mail, it looks nothing like the photo and I only received one blade not 2. The photo that is displayed on Amazon shows 2 blades ( I thought there were 2 blades per package (i.e. photo) not one.) the blue and silver color of the blade is nothing like I received, mine was black and the package had been opened before as the plastic cover was stapled shut at the top with two staples. the original package was heat sealed. I will update the blade itself once it is used. Probably going to contact Amazon and ask about returning this blade.

I stock blades in for our cabinet installers. This blade is by far is the favorite. The guys are bumbed out when we run out of black blades. We have purchased about 20 of them over the last year or 2. I just wish they mad one with a 20mm arbore so they could fit all of our trim saws.

Awesome blade.I find myself grabbing the saw with this blade on it 90% of the time.

Works well in my Makita trim saw. Very little chipping or tearing. Worth the extra money.
