“Discontinued by Manufacturer” D-link Wi-Fi Day/Night Baby Camera with Remote Monitoring (DCS-820L)

Works great. You can even talk over it to tell the kids to get back in bed that you can see them. Lol

I'm not one to return alot of products...typically I try to give everything the benefit of a doubt. However, this product brought me to the edge. To start, it was difficult to get the MyDlinkBaby app to find the camera. Once it did, when I would go to sign up for an account, I kept getting an error message that my username/pw were incorrect, even though I've never previously had an account. After about an hour of frustration, I looked further into the app itself. It hasn't been updated in over a year (Dec 1 2015). I have a brand new iPhone 7 Plus and iPad Pro, both running iOS 10. I then remembered my son's iPad mini hadn't been updated to the new iOS. I was able to finally set up the camera and a new account on that. If I had updated that software already, this review would be ending here.Once I got it up and running, I could actually log in just fine to the apps on my updated devices. At first the camera was ok, and after the initial frustration, I really wanted to love it. However, after a couple of days, the 'feedback' the mic would give became so unbareably loud, that I would have to turn my device volume almost all the way down so it wouldn't wake us up in the middle of the night. This, of course, made hearing my baby, impossible. I had to rely on a baby monitor app on another ipad in his room for noise (meaning I had to run 2 apps on my phone to monitor him...one for video, one for audio.Deciding I would still give this product a go, I continued to use it, until about 2 weeks later I received an alert stating my camera had been disconnected. After a day of trying every resolution in the book, the camera was still not connected to the app. We couldn't even find it 'locally' (meaning using the camera's own wi-fi to connect remotely). It didn't appear as if anything was wrong with the camera, it was powered up, etc, so I can't be sure if the connection issue was the app or the camera itself.Overall, there were some really nice things about this camera, but not enough to make it work.Pros:- Price- Ability to play lullabies through the camera- Two way talk- Daytime video quality wasn't too bad- Interchangable color lens cover- Easy to wall mountCons:- Nighttime video quality was extremely blurry (tried to adjust camera lens, didn't help)- Push to talk worked intermittently- Difficulty with setup- Audio feedback made hearing baby impossible- Connectivity issues - major

I really like this product I have 2, one at my boyfriends house in Amarillo (this new model ) and one at my house un houston (old model) I love the picture quality the new model has and I have no problem with the volume it's just fine. It does cut out at times but it is due to my WiFi connectivity and how many electronics I have running at the same time on the house wifi. Me and my boyfriend use the same login so it's just one set up. We can easily see our son from miles away from 2 different cities.I watch my son while he naps. I can move freely around the house with the phone and am able to tell when he's about to wake up and I am there before he even starts to cry.I gave it only 4 stars because the setup is tedious. If you have problems with the set up I suggest just exiting the app and log in again and try again.Trust me once you get it working it's so worth the price.

I absolutely love this camera!! It was easy setup. We had a little trouble and called customer service and they walked us through step by step until we had it working. The camera is very clear! There is a day and night option, if it's too dark in the room you can do a night vision. My kids are not babies but I wanted something to be able to look in on them when I'm not home. I like that you can hear through the camera as well. They can hear you if you turn on that feature. Sometimes there is a bit of a lag in the voice feature but my kids have a cell so I did not get this for communication. I also like that you can sign in on more than one device. My husband has access and he can check on them as needed. There are also feature on the app that you can receive a notification when there is movement or sound near the camera. I disabled that rather quickly as I was getting notifications quite often. I think my cats and dogs were walking in front. It's also quite funny you can talk to your pets through the camera and it thoroughly confuses them ha~ This is a great camera and I will purchase more in the future.

Very happy with this camera in terms of picture and sound quality. I also have a D-Link 930L camera connected to the home wifi. This DOES work with the D-Link Lite App (and the voice talkback works!) although the lullaby control is lost. If D-Link could improve the Lite iPhone app then I would give it 5 stars. The Lite app is cleaner and far more user friendly then the dedicated baby app and it's annoying to switch apps just to control the lullabies. Most people will be using this product with a smart phone or tablet rather than on a browser screen so it would be great to see those app bugs fixed.UPDATE!!! The D-Link lite app now has lullaby control so I use that app in preference to the dedicated baby app because the lite app controls all my cameras, not just the DCS-802L.Having used D-Link cameras for some time, I have 2 comments.1) If you're technical, you'll be disappointed that there's no Graphical User Interface with this camera. Other cameras like the DCS-933L allow frame rate, data rate, email triggers etc to be changed.2) You MUST have a good wifi signal. That might mean changing the wifi channel and/or adding wifi boosters. If your home wifi is constantly fighting your neighbor's wifi then the picture will freeze.

Lieferung erfolgte schnell, Produkt kam wie erwartet an. Man kann den Ring von blau auf rosa wechseln. Die Verbindung im Haus ist gut. Wenn ich Abends mit den Hunden gehe war mir wichtig das Kind im Blick zu haben. Mag sein das es an der Verbindung lag aber weit gereicht hat es nicht. Ich denke aber das es eher an der Internetverbindung lag. Sowohl die Bild, als auch Tonübertragung war im Haus gut. Die Nachtsichtfunktion klappt auch prima. Wenn die Kamera gut sichtbar hingestellt wirde kann man auch im Dunkeln alles super erkennen und hören. Man kann zusätzlich noch Lieder, welche vorinstalliert sind, abspielen oder gegensprechen. Funktioniert alles einwandfrei. Würde die Kamera wieder kaufen. Für den jenigen der mal zum Nachbarn rüber will eignet sich die Kamera super. Man sieht sofort was los ist, was bei einem "normalem" Babyphone nicht der Fall ist. Geht natürlich nur in Verbindung mit einem internetfähigem Gerät.

1 Stern gibt es dafür, dass man das Ding einschalten kann *lach*Also etwas derart schlechtes hätte ich im Jahr 2016 nicht erwartet. Die Kamera ist das Geld nicht wert.Fehlerliste:- Verbindung ins WLAN funktioniert nicht richtig- App zum steuern ist langsam- Kamerabild friert ein- Geräuschsensor funktioniert mal und mal nicht- Nach jedem ausschalten muss Sie neu verbunden werden (nervt weil man ständig das Setup durchlaufen muss)- Startton viel zu laut, da wird das Kind wieder wach wenn man das übersieht (wir haben 2.Decken über die Kamera gelegt)- Rauschen bei der Geräusch Übertragung-Bewegungssensor spinnt auch manchmalentweder wir hatten einfach nur Pech mit unserem Modell, oder die Kamera ist einfach nur Blech!-

Las instrucciones no son precisas, la configuración no la coge a la primera y tarda muchísimo.Después de bastante rato hasta conseguir configurarla y meterla en la red local, el audio no funciona correctamente, se oye un zumbido enorme que anula la posibilidad de escuchar prácticamente nada.Por otro lado, la calidad de la imagen es pésima.Desaconsejada totalmente para cualquier uso.

Es lo que buscaba, y después de mucho buscar, la que mejor precio tiene.Cuesta un poco entenderla el primer día, pero a partir de ahí, no ha dado ningún problema estos meses. Vivimos en dúplex y con la wifi de casa, no se cuelga nunca estemos donde estemos. Calidad de imagen increíble

This item is garbage. I spent hours attempting install but it will not connect to wifi, even after multiple resets and attempts on multiple devices. When contacting the manufacturer I learned the item was discontinued in 2015 and they no longer offer support. Unfortunately I did not open and attempt install until baby was born (past return date) and so it cannot be returned and is completely useless. Do not buy.
