Faux leather is several shades more orange than in the picture. Looks like it has several “plates” to it but it’s just very thin faux leather FABRIC. Edges were frayed everywhere on the black tabbard, and the lacing string’s ends were frayed as well. Bracers were decent quality, though. Not worth $41, returning.EDIT 8/18/19SO after a representative from ELEFAN contacted me, I agreed to give the product another chance in black. The quality on the black one is MUCH better for both the fabric and the strings. The leather fabric is a little tougher on this one, but still thin. It’s going to work well as an under piece for my armor now. Thanks Barry!

6'2" 290# XXL purchased. Fabric is as described, but seems semi-durable. Do not expect first product pictures shown, "leather" panels are thin pleather pieces. Be sure to hang up to air out prior to wearing. Fits comfortably, easiest to have assistance being laced in, especially with cuffs.

Wish the fake leather was the same brown as the arm cuffs but it’s great other than that. It’s perfect for a base for several different costumes. We got several compliments on it walking around the renaissance festival.

Let me preface this by saying this could be a viable product, depending on your needs, but I take umbridge at the fact that the pictures in this Amazon listing ARE NOT OF THIS PRODUCT. This feels like a Wish switcheroo.The "leather fabric" (supposed to be the armor pieces) is exactly as thin as it sounds, being just as flimsy and stretchy as the underlying material, but I was expecting that. This outfit is comically green. The leather fabric was seemingly just cut with a scissors and a stencil, with there being visible flaws in cuts and stitching. It's a shame because the body material seems light, flexible, and comfortable. I have not seen the braces yet, but I can feel them fairly sturdy in the middle of the outfit nor can I attest to the fit.If you're buying this for a one-off costing party or a starter Renaissance festival outfit, just need something cheap and comfortable - this could be a good pick for you. Although, I would recommend not getting the green, and instead go for the black, where these issues could be not as prevalent. If you are buying this to go with an existing Renaissance festival outfit, or take your outfit at all seriously, I would pass on this.

Looks ok and is sturdy enough but the leather has an incredibly powerful smell. You will smell like an authentic pirate or orc with this on. I suspect it is some chemical that is used in the leather conditioning. Smells like a fish tank that needs to be cleaned.

This was for my husband's halloween costume the only negative was the smell it had a weird smell we had to wash it twice before he could wear it. Other than that it made a great Ragnar costume.

Don't waste your time item fits well and will fit most but.... The leather is super cheap pleather much brighter that pictured and super thin. In no way looks like photo other than shape.

Yo. Truth be told I did not expect the level of quality. The under material is beyond comfortable. The triple pectoral plate was admittedly not as outwardly protruding as I wanted but my goodness, it feels great, fits perfectly and is very easily put on and laced. 10/10 would recommend. Look forward to this companies future!
