Growing well
I’ve been a Aerogarden customer for over two years now. I literally got a Harvest Elite with Best Buy points when I bought a new refrigerator and have been obsessed with hydroponics since. Then of course I had to get a second unit and then a cheaper knock off version as well as a bunch of mason jars for Kratky. It’s been a fun but sometimes stressful adventure. So I will say this, often the pods are duds, but if you document it Aerogarden has been really good about sending replacements (I contact them through Facebook messenger, Amazon is not going to help with this). I’ve been growing peppers outside for several years ago for my boyfriend, as I’m one of those unfortunate individuals who can’t handle really spicy food but it’s still fun to grow them. I even grew five super hot pepper plants hydroponically, but as well as the plants did I never got one stupid pepper, and then lost all but one plant in a hard freeze last year. This year has been stressful too with new pepper plants and that one survivor because we’ve had an extremely hot summer here in Texas that lasted well into the fall so of course, now I have a bunch of peppers growing and have been watching the weather for freezes, I figured once we are about to get hit, I’m just going to cut them down and overwinter them. And the peppers are all still green. I also had rats stealing leaves off my pepper plants until we started getting rain, so I guess they were getting some kind of moisture out of them so they grew really tall because I didn’t want to prune them down with those little leaf thieves coming every night. So long story short, I decided to try peppers hydroponically, even though I probably would have done better with a bounty, my units are the smaller Harvest units. It’s now been 66 days. The jalapeño took off, I was good about pruning it down, so that it would grow busier, but I wasn’t as good about that with the red fire or purple super hot. So the red fire is now kind of pulled over to the left of the light unit and then the purple super hot just grew out of nowhere before I even realized so I actually removed it and put it into one of my Kratky jars because there were a bunch of little flowers growing that I didn’t want to lose with a trim. My boyfriend tried one of the jalapeños last night, I have a picture of it next to one of our outside ones, it’s the lighter colored one, and he said it had much more flavor than the outside one. Looking forward to see what grows with the other two plants, right now I just have a little tiny purple pepper, which I guess will eventually turn red on the red fire. The purple super hot have a bunch of flowers, so I’m sure I will get peppers soon enough. I only used three out of nine of the pods and honestly I think that I might have a couple duds, but I will deal with that later. I’ve gotten to where I check for seeds before I waste my time. overall, I’m pleased with the purchase. Just make sure that you keep an eye on the water level because they are thirsty!

Great product!!!
I ordered the bell pepper pods. It came with three pepper pods and ten spacers. I planted two pods in a six-pod Aerogarden Harvest, and they both germinated. They are currently about 12 inches tall with 7+ flowers on each plant. I had no issues with this product. It's top-notch. If you're having issues, please read my tips below. The problem might not lie in the product but how you're planting and growing.FYI:1. If your pods do not germinate after 21 days, you can contact Aerogarden for a replacement. You'll need the numbers on the pod stickers, so keep them or write them down. I've done this for two salad green pods that didn't germinate. AG sent the replacement item within a week.2. It's best to plant things like peppers and tomatoes together. Don't mix them with other things, like herbs, flowers, salad greens/romaine, etc. The peppers and tomatoes will hog all the water and light.3. If you look in the pod and see mold, this is a normal part of the process.4. When growing peppers or tomatoes, only plant two pods per six holes! If you do anything more than this, your plants might grow, but they won't get enough space, light, water, or nutrients to actually provide peppers or tomatoes.

Easy Growing
It's worth it to get the seed pods from a trusted brand. The peppers are growing well. The only complaint I have is the the kit was shipped in a soft bag, so the box was crushed, some seeds came apart from the pods, so I put some back but not sure if they are in the right pods since each one has a label showing what plant it if for. I still give it a 5 star rating.

9 Pod Mislabeled
I ordered a 9 pod kit and it took 3 tries to complete my order. I received a 3 pod kit each time. I believe it is just a simple mislabel incident. The product is easy to use, but to this date the first 3 pods have not germinated. It has been 12 days and germination is usually between 8-14 days. We will see, as I really do hope these pods are not duds. Will update in the next few days as to status of plants.

Missing seeds!! Check the contents!
So disappointed!!! I don't have a great track record with plants so I was cautiously optimistic when I got the Aergarden for Christmas. The herbs that came with it did pretty well-the mint and chives never grew but the others did so well I transplanted them to soil in pots. I got excited and ordered seed pods for lettuce, tomatoes and sweet peppers-planning my next garden before moving the herbs. I didn't immediately check inside the packages because once you open the plastic wrap the seed pods are exposed and I didn't want them to be contaminated or degraded. Today I was ready for my next planting and was shocked to see only 2 pods had anything in them!!! The box states that all pods are supposed to contain a minimum of 4 seeds each. The tomato kit at least explains up front that there are only 3 seeded pods and that it also includes 4 covers for the empty holes.Unfortunately I missed the return window so I now have 7 totally empty plastic holders and only 2 seeded pods for sweet peppers. Guess I'll be checking each box immediately when it arrives to make sure it actually has what I paid for.

love the plants that sprout
I've ordered this pack of seed pods before. I absolutely love the peppers that are produced and the different colors they bring to my kitchen. But this time around about half of the pods didn't sprout. Which is significantly disappointing given the price point. In the past I've usually had one dud, so when the first one didn't sprout and just threw it out. What about half of this pack did not sprout which is why it has less Stars.

So Far So Good
I am using a six-pod AeroGarden Harvest Elite. But I bought the nine-pod seed kit as it was cheaper than the six-pod one when I bought them! I planted six pods - two of each kind. Out of six - Jalapeno germinated first followed by Red Fire Chilly plants. Both had started germinating within 48 hours. On day 21, one of the Purple Super Hot plants finally started to germinate. But by that time the other two types grew so big, the tiny Purple Super Hot plant was not getting enough light as the large leaves of the other plants covering the light. So, eventually, it did not survive, and another Purple Super Hot seed pod never germinated. So, overall I got four seed pods to germinate out of six. No Purple Super Hot for me!By day 34, Jalapeno plants grew so big, they started touching the light panel (see the picture). It’s burning the leaves. In the past, I had grown herbs which were easy since you can cut the leaves and eat them. But with the chilli plant, it’s a challenge. I wish I can remove the light panel and put the plants under my separate grow lights. Also, as the plants grow, they need water every couple of days - every two-week watering is not enough anymore.I would suggest if you have a six-pod AeroGarden like mine, plant only three not all six pods so that they can have enough space to grow and can have enough light. Also, if you can’t extend the light-bar more than 12 inches (if you don’t have a larger model of AeroGarden), then I suggest you stick to herbs and vegetables that you can cut and consume to keep the overall plant height shorter than the light panel. Now I am looking for a way to keep the plants out of the light panel. I will update the review again, once I get some flowers and then, hopefully, some chillies. The pictures are from day 12 and 34 if you are wondering.Update Day 40: Already got some flowers for the Jalapeno plants. I am using a "Be the Bee Pollinator" to pollinate them (see the picture of Day 40). No Purple Super Hot plants yet - one had germinated but did not grow big, and the other did not germinate at all!Update Day 52: Already got some Jalapenos (see the Day 52 picture). It was like magic, nothing was there the day before (or I did not notice) and the next day a couple of Jalapenos hanging there. The plants also grew taller than the light stand (see the second picture of Day 52). I had to push them out so that they don't touch the light panel ceiling. Looks like using the "Be the Bee Pollinator" for pollination did the trick. In the second picture of Day 52, you can see it's snowing outside and I am growing Jalapenos indoor which is kind of fun.Update Day 78: Added a picture with Red Fire Chilly - got plenty of them. Also, harvested my first Jalapenos, was waiting for them to become mature enough (grow 2 to 3 inches long and turn dark green). Waiting paid off - they tasted super hot when I tried them as pizza toppings. So, other than Purple Super Hot which never germinated (had planted two pods), the project was successful otherwise. From my experience of growing them this time, I can say, if I grow chilly peppers next time, I would probably only plant three of them in my 6-pod unit so that each can have enough space to grow freely, and also I will plant them in the summer so that the tops can get enough light when they grow beyond the light panel.

Great Product, a lil to pricey
Great, and very productive.

No flowers
We have tried twice to grow these peppers, and all that grows is leaves. No flowers to be seen to pollinate for fruit.

Easy to grow, seem to have gotten mostly jalapenos rather than jalapenos/thai peppers
These (like all of the kits I've tried so far) germinated well and are easy to grow. Still waiting for the plants to bear fruit, but based on the leaves, it seems that I received almost entirely jalapenos pepper plants (the leaves are all rather broad, round, curving downwards rather than up and palm sized, rather than the thinner leaves (which curve upwards) on thai pepper plants.)That said, they're growing well and I ultimately needed to transplant them to soil as they were outgrowing the Areo Harvest unit I have.(I didn't bother trying to grow the small purple ones as, after a bit of research, I found that they're quite mild, and I was looking for something spicier)
