Don't buy!
I really like the gold and therefore decided to try the silver. When I got this tube I was very surprised how much under pressure the tube seemed and opened it up to release some pressure which was pretty messy as the ink just shoot out of tge paint. However, I thought the paint itself should be good and put it away for later. Now, some weeks later I pulled it out and it is again under pressure. At first I only thought it might be just overfilled, now I suspect that there is something wrong with it. I wish I had simply returned it while I had the possibility - Not happy!

Speedball Fabric: SPONSOR ME! 😉
I love this stuff! It dries well after about 5 hours, but with a full 24 hour cure, I've seen this ink hold up well on printed items that get battered, beaten and tossed in the wash a hundred times. The color looks great after numerous washes and even my longest-used kitchen towels look great! Super pleased with this product, Speedball. Make more colors! And bigger tubes!

Most Speedball inks do well with Fabric. HOWEVER, NOT THE OPAQUE WHITE
I am new to the printing game. Having said that, I will say that Speedball BLACK is just fine on fabric. It will stay on even after laundering.I CAN'T SAY THAT FOR OPAQUE WHITE. IT WILL NOT STAY ON COTTON WOVEN, COTTON KNIT, POLY/COTTON WOVEN......NO LUCK.The opaque white just washed off the fabric. What didn't wash off, peeled and pilled up to the point that I had to take a lint roller and rub the rest off.Yes, I followed the instructions. Yes, I heat set. Yes, I YouTubed to see what I was doing wrong. No one was talking about Opaque White.I ended up having to use plain white acrylic paint instead for my project. It isn't perfect after laundering, but at least it stays on the fabric. So, in conclusion, I have a tube of Opaque White I'll gladly give to Speedball for a full refund. As I said above, the black is fine. But stay away from Opaque White.

Not good for wide coverage woodblocks. Takes forever to dry.
I have fabric printed with a lot of medium. I decided to use this for a recent project because I wanted something that would produce sharp lines without heat setting How we my blocks have wide stars and hands. I don’t think this worked well with woodblocks. It is very sticky. If you roll it on the stamp like you would use acrylic it looks faded. If you put enough on to get a dark print it leaves peaks/waves in the wider areas of the print. If the blocks were thin line I think this would have been okay. Also it sticks to everything so well you don’t realize it got on your hand until it is too late. It says it dries quickly but it was still really tacky after 72 hours. I emailed the speedball customer service but they kept telling me, it dries overnight and never responded to my reply on why it was sticky 72 hours later. Back to much cheaper options that create better results. Heat setting is just easier.

Great for textile printing
Speedball Fabric ink has good tack, covers a rubber or linoleum block well, and still manages to put down a nice clear print on fabric (I am printing linen, shantung silk, and cotton). It is reasonably priced, too. I have experimented with a number of other inks in the water-wash up variety, printing by hand or with Speedball's small hand press and this ink performs very well, permeates the fabric just enough and yet - very important - dries quickly! The clean up is a breeze with just soap and water and there are no fumes at all. It maintains its viscosity in the tube, and is so much easier to use than something like a screen printing ink on fabric. I generally use aqua wash etching inks on fabric and though colors are richer, there is the painfully long two weeks of drying time. Speedball inks dry in 48 - 72 hours. You will not have to do anything after printing to 'set' the color. Just wait a few days. I've washed it. The color hangs on just fine on fabric. The cons are: The color seems to fade as it dries on the fabric after printing, so be prepared for a slight color shift. The ink will come out looking exactly like the color square on the tube, but will dry lighter. Also, there are very few colors available. I hope they expand their palette of tubed ink. The ink dries pretty quickly on the plate once rolled out. As a result, you end up using quite a bit of ink per print session. You can get around some of this issue by changing how you print: either rolling ink into a foam pad which will keep it wet, or simply working faster.

Perfect for Stamping Fabric!
I am so very pleased with this block ink. I purchased it to use with my hand carved stamps on fabric. I squeezed a little of the ink onto a piece of glass from an old 8 x 10 frame and spread it out with a rubber brayer roller to even out the ink before stamping. The finished product looks AMAZING. The clean up was super easy. I just used some water and dish soap. It doesn't even stain your hands! Anyways, I highly recommend this product.

Do not buy from this seller
When I purchased, the junk half so much pressure in it I couldnt even squeeze it. I hadn't used it today as I was finishing the last of the gold tube I had. When I got it out today it had busted at the end and ink got all in the basket where I store them. I'm not surprised!! The pressure there was incredible, and it finally gave. Not cool.

Most of their inks work great, however
I use speedball fabric ink to create block printed tops. Most of their inks work great, however, when I used the magenta, it changes colors and yellows when ironed. No other color has done this - wish there was a warning with this one.

bloated tube , but worked rather well
Used to print on to a dark green scarf , worked well although didn't go as far as the plain colours but you might just get that with metallic colours, worked better than plain metallic lino inks .Only gave it 3 stars as the machine that filled obviously it got a airlock when filling my tube , arrived rather bloated and released a load of ink as soon as I opened the tube lid. wouldn't mind so much but for the price that you pay its rather annoying for that to happen .

Best fabric block printing paint
The colour has an even and deep finish and keeps the hand of the fabric well.Colour finish is more grey than metallic so do not expect a high sheen or sparkling finish.Great coverage with a brayer and fantastic for gelli or monoplate printing.

Good quality
Good quality paint. Exactly what I needed. Only thing to remember is use what you need as you can’t put left over paint (from screens) back in, so it will be wasted

Bit thin
Not sure what I'm doing wrong but this ink feels thin when rolling. Keep seeing Speedball products for lino printing, but so far I'm not keen on what I've tested / bought. I think Scola water based ink is thicker & better for black printing plus you get more for your money. Saying that the ink is a beautiful blue & works on both fabric & paper. Also Lino can so vary on what paper & pressure you apply. 3 stars
