Excellent pen for the money.
Not as graceful as the Lamy Safari, but I like the triangular aluminum barrel and the no slip grip. The big cap looks unweildy but I find the opposite is true, and the cap gives good balance when the pen is posted. I think this pen is going to be my workhorse at the office for awhile. I would give 5 stars (for the price) but mine came with a scratchy nib. Luckily I had an extra Lamy nib floating around, and that fixed the problem.Update 2/14/19: I am still enjoying the pen, and I realised that the barrel is solid, no ink level window, so now I'm thinking "eyedropper pen"! Maybe I should buy a bottle from the new Lamy ink series to try it with?

Great mid priced Lamy
I'm really enjoying the Nexx. An great step up for me from the ALstar. And since I andaby can't afford the $200 to $300 pens, this will do nicely in anyone's collection of they like Lamys.

Very disappointed
I’ve using Lamy fountain pens for almost 40 years, I’ve had at least 6. I thought I was going to love this one, and at the beginning I did. But for a couple of weeks the ink has been liking and the last time I Used, I pulled up the top of the pen, and all the ink “jumped” on my white blouse!!!! All this 5 minute before I had to open the store!! I don’t know why this happened, but I think I won’t use this fountain pen anymore.

I like the pen
I like the pen, but the nib is not great. I'm not sure what it is about the medium or silver nibs that they don't seem to write as well as the black ones. There is constant skipping when writing with the ink, and not very even flow. I replaced it with a Fine black metal nib that I had an now it works great.

Great everyday use pen!
I love the Nexx. The grip is perfect for my hand and very comfortable when I'm writing or taking notes over time.

Not for left handed people
I am left handed and find using this pen to be less than ideal. The rubber cushioned end is set up for right handed people and gets in my way writing left handed. I have also learned and I do not like these slip on Lamy nibs at all. The pen feels like the nib is too loose making my writing feel slightly delayed with the pen moving slightly then the nib catching up, and yes I have tried tightening up the nib it did not help with fitment on the feed much.I am a big fan of the Lamy 2000 owning 3 of them but this Lamy is a flop for me and I do not recommend it.

Write's as good as it looks.
Pen was purchased as a color match to Tieks ballet flats. Girlfriend loved it.

Fine if you don't care about writing experience
I wanna like this pen. The nib is terribly scratchy. I got mine with an M nib, and I've used F nibs that were smoother by far.At least it's nice to look at. The pen is well constructed and has a nice finish. I wish the pen were a pleasure to use.

Lovely pen but not as pictured
The cap on the pen is not as pictured. Pictures show a solid colour of blue/teal but the pen I received has a cheap looking matte silver strip and pocket grip. Not a good look. Quite disappointed.

I have a new favourite fountain pen maker: Lamy
I have and am a big MontBlanc fan. Ever since I started using the 10-20 pounds Lamy pens, I am blown away by its comfort and and ease of writing. It would be hard to use anything BUT Lamy from now on.

Like nails on a blackboard
Unlike the Al-star (and I know its the same nib) it's like scraping slate with nails (albeit on office paper, but that's what most of us use, most of the time). Cheaply built. The ink (if you use an ink pot) wipes of with a bit more effort than with an Al-star. Just not an entirely nice experience.

Can't fault it.
I wished for a metal pocket clip on the pen, so that it would be strong enough to attach a lanyard to if required, and this pen has that. Also the colour is lovely. I already have had Lamy pens so I know they write well, besides looking stylish, so I can't fault it and this gets 5 stars.

I really like Lamy pens anyway
I really like Lamy pens anyway, but this is just so sleek and comfortable to use. I like that you can buy it in different and interesting colours
