I was pleasantly surprised. The mechanism is tight and works just like an OEM. The overall quality is very good.Here is the difference: An OEM housing is hard molded plastic and this one is aluminum. When I first took it out of the box it was noticeable to me. When I installed it and tried it out, I was happy it worked as well as an OEM. The aluminum housing is color coded so it is not noticeable in the back when it is installed. No one will ever know.Excellent value for the money.

Bought a new-to-me used Mercedes but there was no cover over the trunk area of the suv. This is perfect match for color of leather seats and was easy to install. Works perfectly and looks very nice. You'd never know that this was aftermarket.
