My 5 yr old daughter is able to play this ...
My 5 yr old daughter is able to play this by herself - she really likes the game.Although, the game does not come with instructions on how to start. I had to do a quick search online. When you first load the game, the characters are in the tower. Rapunzel needs to walk to the left and go to "Map" -- then she can go to the First Frolic and start the game. If you just stay in the tower at the beginning, you can't do much. If your child is not able to read yet, you'll need to play the game with him/her to start - written instructions will pop-up as you go through each level on how to win it or how to unlock certain things.

Perfect for 6 year old & her Daddy.
We bought 3 Wii games for our children this Christmas. (The other two were Toy Story 3 The Video Game and Marvel Super Hero Squad The Infinity Gauntlet ) This one is our favourite of the bunch. The other two were too difficult for our 6 year old daughter and 4 year old son to play. Tangled was perfect for our 6 year old daughter though and she especially liked it because she is a fan of the movie. It was a great first game for her - if your children are more experienced at video games, they may not enjoy it as much. She was able to complete the entire game, playing along with her Daddy. It's great that she can be Rapunzel and Dad can be Flynn Rider and they can help each other out.I especially liked that you can walk around and explore the levels - stopping to doodle on a poster - rather than it being a fast paced game.

The most played game on my family's Wii
I bought this game as a gift from my 4 1/2 year old to my Wife for Christmas becuase they both loved the movie so much. Now we are not real gamers but we play games now and then. My 4 year loves it. In fact the whole family has fun with it. It really brings you into the story and gameplay is real simple but fun. The motion controls are few and simple (so simple a 4 year can get the hang of it after a few times). The Snuggly Duckling level is great. And I though it was a nice Disney touch that when you fight human enemies you just knock them out and they fall asleep. The graphics, sound effects and music are excellent. I only wish it was longer and that it didn't stall so much between loading scenes. If you are a fan of the movie you will really love this game.

A 12-year-old's review
I rate Tangled, the video game, 5 out of 5 stars. The game play is extremely fun, varying from minigames, which include Rapunzel sending up the lantern and riding Maximus, to the actual chapters. There are fun additions such as Rapunzel painting posters, and unlocking new paints to make those posters even prettier. Another good thing about the game is that you can take control of both Rapunzel and Flynn. It's very fun to switch between the two, and even more fun when they help each other out. Pascal even makes small appearances, helping the player finish their task. The graphics are also beautiful. You can also go back and finish up a level, even after you've completed the game.this is one of my favorite games of all time.

Regret buying it!
I bought this game for my 5 yr old daughter. We loved the movie so much that we thought the game would be fun. It appears they rush out the game that they didn't even bother to do a good job. It is awful. I mean we have read the manual. My husband, my daughter and I have tried to play it but it really is so boring, even for a 5 yr old. We hate it. Want to buy a good game for little girl try Ni Hao Kailan or Just Dance Kids. These she will enjoy. Don't waste your money in Tangled it's just not worth it.

Fun game. Niece enjoyed it.
My niece really enjoyed this game; she was 5 so I had to tell her what to do. One player can play as Rapunzel and the other as Finn. Both have special abilities, like Rapunzel uses her frying pan to attack and her long hair to swing or as a rope for Finn to climb. You can also play solo and just switch between characters. There are hidden items and to collect and gold. There are also some problem solving Just like most games to be able to move forward. Once you beat a level you will unlock the next one or you can replay previous levels.

Tangled is Tough for Toddlers
Bought this for our 3 and 5 year old daughters - probably should have started with something a little easier for their first Wii game! They do love Tangled - and are getting the hang of it slowly but surely. There are aspects of the game that more experienced gamers would inherently "get," that our girls do not (like having to move Rapunzel to specific locations before she can let her hair down for Flynn to climb up). Overall the game is cute, and our kids love it.
