A revolutionary product!!
The market is flooded with SiO2 formulas at this point, so why McKee's? McKee's shines (pun intended) due to ease of application, cost, and results.I use this in my professional detailing business, and it has literally transformed my business and cut massive amounts of hours needed to finish cars, all while delivering superior results that have my customers raving.Gone is the need to perfectly dry a car, then apply a sealant, then waiting for the sealant to dry to a haze, and then removing it. Instead, wash, decontaminate, and while the car is still wet, apply this sparingly, use a strong stream of water to remove, and watch it work its magic. A little goes a LONG way, and your car will have superlative protection and shine. Will it last as long as a polymer sealant like Wolfgang 3.0? No, it won't....you'll get about half of the protective life, but with the time spent on application, you could apply Hydro Blue 8 (or more) times in the time it takes to complete a car once, so I still consider it a better product. Also, the shine and hydrophobicity is superior to even the best traditional sealants and waxes. If you're looking for personal usage, nothing is better, and I use this product personally to maintain my own family's vehicles as well. It works great as a maintenance spray for your favorite ceramic coating, or as a standalone product for enthusiasts who don't want to spend the time or money perfecting their paint before applying a ceramic coating. Keep in mind this contains the same ingredients found in ceramic coatings, so in essence, by applying this very easy to use product, ypu're applying the equivalent of a "light" ceramic coating.I use a lot of products, and have even tried a multitude of SiO2 sprays, and McKee's Hydro Blue is the single product in the last 5 years that has made the most difference in how I deliver exceptional results to my customers. It's a definitive favorite, and will always be in my arsenal....I already consider it irreplacable. If you live in a climate with heavy salt usage (I'm in Ohio), be prepared to apply this more frequently in the winter. Even with proper decontamination and surface prep, a winter storm seems to be able to strip its protective qualities in weeks as opposed to months. Horizontal panels will still exhibit fantastic hydrophobic properties, but the lower vertical panels that are subjected to salt lose their protection rather quickly. Those who live in these types of climates know that this is an issue no matter what type of protection you prefer, and it can even deteriorate the best of ceramic coatings in a single season without frequent application of booster sprays. That said, keep your eye on the lower parts of your door panels and fenders and re-apply when washing your car. I usually apply once per month in the winter. For the cost of this product, you can easily afford to.If you're a weekend warrior purchasing this 128oz size, this product will last you years upon years, and is a much better investment than your sealants or waxes.Buy it and don't look back - I'm positive it will revolutionize exterior car care for you as well!

Excellent stuff!!
Been using this for yearly now for 3 years works fantastic. Wash vehicle and while still wet a section at a time like the roof, then rinse it off. Then on to the next until whole vehicle is done. Dry with soft towel. Super easy. Do it in the shade if it’s to hot out. Vehicle should be cool to touch.

Easiest "Wax" Job I Ever Did!
I must add my voice to the chorus of fans of this product. I believe the "Sio2" stands for Sodium Dioxide, since McKee's states there are "microscopic glass beads that electrostatically bond to the paint" in this formula. Whatever it is, this stuff works like magic!!You wash your car (in my case, I had my 2014 Dodge Durango professionally detailed inside and out -- without paste wax). While it is still wet, you start spraying McKee's Hydro Blue on a panel at a time. Then wash it off IMMEDIATELY. I know that sounds crazy, but the product is activated by water. There will be a tiny bit of sudsing action as you wash it off. One 16-oz bottle was just enough to treat my Durango, stem to stern, and covering all exterior surfaces -- wheels, chrome, grill, and windshield / windows, included. You then take a blow dryer (such as a driveway blower, in my case) to dry it. Microfiber cloths are also good but I chose to avoid swirls as much as possible.I see no streaks, afterwards. The shine starts to happen on its own during that drying process. No need to buff. So -- yes -- crazy as it sounds -- it's a Spray On / Wash Off wax job! Since my car had been detailed, I took my garden hose and misted the surfaces before starting each section.Days later, it's still going strong. The surface is very hydrophobic. Rain beads up everywhere, and rolls off as I drive on the highway. I have not had occasion to test the removal of bird droppings, yet (one of the reasons I was researching "ceramic"-type coatings -- they were all too expensive, to me, for a 5-year-old car). Results? I went from thinking "Maybe it's time to sell this 2014." to thinking "Am I crazy? It's PAID FOR, and looks really beautiful, now!" So I'll be keeping it. Next, I gotta attack just a few areas of road rash with touch-up paint (nothing major).Oh, that "without paste wax" remark -- McKee's Tech Support said "Yes, it can be applied over paste wax. But we do not advise it if you can avoid it. Reason? Paste Wax has a lot of oils within it. McKee's does not like an oily surface. If the Paste Wax was just applied, you need to wait several weeks to allow some of that oil to dissipate. Best case would be to have it clayed, then deoxidized." I'm too cheap for that, but I did have the engine cleaned (which has NOTHING to do with this review -- just sayin').

Ordered it a few times
Easy to use. Just wash your car like you always do. Spray on a wet panel and spray it with the hose. How much easier can it get? I did have some issues with it spotting here and there. I was in the sun on a hot day. I did not find it hard to remove the spotting? Just a little elbow grease. Great shine and lasted maybe 3-4 months here in Cleveland. Maybe a little pricey. I have used F11 ( over priced garbage ) Hydroselix ( not as pricey as F11 great results 6-7 months ) tried the Turtle wax hybrid ceramic line and it is cheaper with great results and easy to use also. Not sure how long it will last, though.

Amazing product
Performs exactly as advertised. A few sprays per panel, rinse off with the hose and you're done. Water beeding is on par with any sealant out there with 1/10th of the effort of application (and I've used everything from Klasse to Meguiars, Wizards, Chemical Guys, CarPro, Sonax and everything in between). I even spray it on my dive watches for extra smoothness and water repellency (keeps the watchface more legible when it comes in and out of the water). So far we're at the 6 week mark. Car stays glossy/shiny even with dust/dirt left behind after rain. Rims are easier to clean up too and water beading on the windshield and other windows is like Rain-X on steroids - it beads up and starts to run off at about 60kmh.Durability might be the weak point on this - but they're only claiming 3 months. This will be perfect for next summer!

Works great!
So far my experience is that it's very easy to apply. Spray it on and rinse it off, how much easier can it get? It repels water as advertised and adds some shine to my black car. Time will tell as far as how long it will last.
