Q-RaphaPremium Korean Gochujang (Chili Paste), Gluten-free, Non-GMO, Unpasteurized Artisanal (1 Gallon)

This is a great choice whether looking for a GF product or just a very tasty Gochujang paste.

Sweet, spicy, funky...all it should be for me. It's thick and super flavorful with a nice lingering heat that doesn't just blow your head off. It builds, and it's really nice. This is the best gochujang I've had, and I am a repeat customer. I love this stuff, and I will always have a jar in my fridge or pantry.

In the United States, most food which comes in a glass jar or plastic bottle does not need to be refrigerated until it is opened. This jar of gochujang (고추장o) arrived at my house in a cardboard box with no ice packs. Given that it was shipped without any ice-packs, I thought that room temperature was fine. When the gochuchang first arrived, it was bright red. After two weeks, it turned dark brown. When I opened a jar, my nose was assailed by a powerful bad odor. This Q-Rapha brand stuff needs to stay refrigerated or frozen at all times. I do not understand why it is being shipped without ice-packs. Certain things, like a glass jar of Italian tomato sauce, can last more than a year if not opened. The Q-Rapha stuff is in a plastic jar, not glass, which means that there is no way that the jar was heated in boiling water the way that canned food it supposed to be. Fresh food requiring refrigeration is fine, but the Q-Rapha gochujang is shipped un-refrigerated and the label does not say "keep refrigerated at all times" in letters as large as their logo and other stuff. maybe it says "keep refrigerated" in microscopically small lettering, but nobody ever bothers to read the fine print when they buy food.

It's hard to find good gluten free gochujang but this stuff was so tasty!!! I will definitely be ordering it again, next time in a bigger jar. Very flavorful.

Really delicious. They have a unique take on gochujang, but it still tastes very traditional.

My Korean partner, who isn't gf, enjoys this but she buys the cheap stuff for herself... because she is doesn't like the cost (she's frugal). I buy it so we can share the flavors of her childhood dishes.

Delicious! And truly gluten free.

Not sure what to think of it as it doesn;t say anything anywhere about being non GMO...
