Save yourself the hassle and buy this one. No diagonal lines moving across the screen or artifacts.
(Update: It has been 2 years plus since my purchase and this adapter is still working perfectly. In that time I have tried even brands and still haven't found any that are as good and reliable as this one. I have now purchased three more of these and the new ones work just as good as the original. Each of my kids are now using one to play the modded Wii's I got them and even they are impressed by the picture quality and apparent lack of lag. Imo this is still the one and only HDMI adapter for the Wii to get.)I have tried Sewell, portholic, musou, generic white one and a generic black one. I also tried a generic white one sold and shipped here. The sold and shipped one was doa and all the others had issues. They all suffered from the diagonal lines that moved across the screen to some extent. If I remember correctly the sewell seemed to have the faintest lines which could possibly be ignored and in some games be unnoticeable but it had the lines. All the others had the lines and it was noticeable at almost all times. Dark reds and blues really made the lines obvious. This mayflash one was actually the one I considered before trying any of the others but the small size had me worried they skimped on some of the components but its performance seems to say otherwise. For starters all the other ones feel like they are 3d printed but this mayflash one feels like the normal plastic you expect to feel. I imagine it is nothing more than abs plastic but it feels more sturdy and better built. The smaller size makes it look much better plugged in to the wii. The picture quality is impressive. It is the first one to look every bit as good as my component cables. If anything my tv makes it look better. I guess my tv upscales hdmi better than component signals. There is no noticeable lag increase that I can tell either. To be fare I didn't notice much with the others but this seems just a touch quicker, except when compared to the sewell witch seemed to be the same with lag. I also noticed this Mayflash adapter doesn't get as warm as the others. All of the other ones got very warm and after a couple hours was hot to the touch. This mayflash one gets warm but never anywhere near what I would consider hot. I even left this one on all night to see how it copes since I have had bad like with all the other adapters but by morning the temp was exactly the same as when I went to bed and the picture was still perfect. To summarize this is the one and only wii to hdmi adapter to consider. I have yet to see anyone who owns one mention anything about diagonal lines like the ones that all other adapters suffer from or mention anything about this model dying. Skip all others and buy this one. If for some crazy reason you have an issue then try another one but save yourself the hassle and start here. I am blown away by the picture quality and didn't expect a 408p image to look so good on a 4k tv.

Simple, Sweet, To the point.
Part of the "It just works" product line. This adapter straight up, just works right out of the box. You plug it in where your AV cables used to go, plug in a HDMI Cord and it'll just work, no extra cables or anything. It recognizes as an hdtv signal on the wii system settings too, so make sure you change that and if you have homebrew, you can enable an option that changes the wii menu to output at 480p instead of the 480i resolution.

Works with Samsung S90D when other adaptors didn't
Worked right out of the box. I was looking for an adaptor to connect my Wii to a Samsung s90D. After several tries, this worked right out of the box, even when the video was routed through an external switch.

Clean and beautiful image quality
I bought one of those 5 dollar wii2hdmi adapters on ebay just to get an old nintendo wii going quick, now I realize what a waste of money the 5 dollars was because even though that 5 dollar adapter worked well I had no idea the image quality could be so much cleaner with this.

Works Great
Bought this and could not get it to work. Tried 2 HDMI cables. Nothing. Finally unplugged the large wrapped HDMI cable from the DVD player and bam it worked. Will not work with cheap cables. You also need to turn the wii off before plugging in the hdmi cable or shut off and turn back on.Picture and sound are amazing quality. Gave it 4 stars because of the issue with the cables and having to restart etc buy would definitely buy again knowing this.

This is the one!
Don't bother with the cheaper Wii 2 HDMI made by Slave Labor, LLC. You can pony up the extra ten dollars for this! There is virtually no signal noise, so no more annoying diagonal lines! The full picture comes through and looks incredible! Great item, great price, simply the best option for playing the Wii on modern TVs!

Revived my old Wii!
My daughter mentioned about her memory of playing Rhythm Heaven Fever. And I decided to connect my old Wii in the storage. Then I realized my TV does not have Component video input terminals. A quick search brought up this Wii Hdmi adapter. It was simple to plug this at the back of the Wii and use a regular Hdmi cable to any TV with Hdmi input. Well, things are working perfectly and now we are playing some of our old favorite games again.

Much better than my old Sewell
Default settings on the Mayflash look great. My older Sewell HDMI adapter needed me to turn the brightness down to 37 on my TV to get proper picture clarity, and also I had to reduce color intensity. On this adapter, I went with default settings. Sometime I fine tune the adapter and put it on brightness 47, instead od 50, and decrease color intensity from 50 to 49, but thats a much smaller change than the Sewell.Overall, this 480p output over HDMI looks great even on my 4K TV. It'd be great to see what it looks like with an mClassic or mCable when I get one.
