Rectorseal 97004 Clean Check, Black

Device arrived today and I installed it. Having trouble with irrigation water backing up into our basement and this device should stop it. Installed it 5 feet below ground so ability to pull flapper up to inspect and clean is crucial. Great design.

Septic still backs up when the external water level goes down (neighbors pond floods into my septic drain field). I thought it was just the "bubble" that everyone talks about at first because it was usually only enough water to flood the bathroom but this last time it was a ton of water. I went to bed and the valve was holding just fine. Woke up to a flood after the flood water in the back yard had drained. I'm assuming the valve is opening prematurely when there's still enough water pressure to flow into the house. It doesn't seem to fail when the initial backup happens and will hold for as long as there's still alot of water but only when the water seems to subside do i get water still coming into the house. And yes, i made sure the valve is clean and it is sealing.

Only the bottom T fitting, the holder and flapper, and the handle at the top with the thumbscrew were included. You need to separately purchase the internal 4" extension, the external 6" riser, the to threaded 6" sleeve and the screw on cap.I couldn't find this product locally and I need a two foot riser, so it worked for me.
