Good read
This is an amazing book my toddler loves it! For short and simple but teaches a lot on being upset and calming yourself down afterwards. Great if you want to teach your kids about emotions highly recommend for 2 years old

Love this book!
This book is adorable and perfect to read to my 2 year old. He grasps the concepts and relates so much. He’s even started to breathe in and out as the book suggests and tries to make his mad go away.I would even recommend it for older kids who are starting to read and who have grumpy siblings. My 4 year old reads the simple words with ease and tries all the tips from the last page on his brother. It's hard to find a book that works for both ages so I would definitely recommend!!

Cute, Funny, and Educational
My 19 month old daughter loves this book and has me read it to her over and over again if it is within her sight. She now asks for the book by name and likes the overdramatic narration I give to fit the humor of the book. Will continue to read it to her for a while. Wish this author for the other emotions that are as cute as this one

Turned into a favorite
Our 2 year old loves these books and funny enough, this one about being mad became her favorite. I do like that it basically plays out what happens during a tantrum and then shows the parent trying to help regulate though breathing. We've tried to bring this out when our girl is upset and it has actually worked a couple times after she got used to what the Breathe In and Breathe Out meant.Definitely cute and highly recommend.

Favorite book
My 15 month old son absolutely loved this book from the first moment he saw it. He’s asked me to read it so many times in one week that he recognizes the words if I recite it to him without the book. If he starts getting fussy or upset about something, all I have to do is start “reading” the book aloud to him and he calms down instantly. I’ll have to check out more books from this author!

Great story that shows kids can get back in charge of their emotions
Baby is mad. We don’t know why and we see a few different ways Baby shows they are mad; all stuff that is pretty realistic for toddlers, like saying no when they mean yes. The parents are shown as supportive but not push-overs. There is no punishment or pate at getting mad. The parents are in the background just trying out different things to help Baby. I thought that was nice that there was no emotion shaming and also that Patricelli doesn’t shy away from showing Baby getting really mad and acting out. Then we see the parents intervening a bit, holding Baby and taking Baby for a walk. Then baby starts to feel better with more help from the parents, but again shown in more of a supportive/there-for-you tone. Then Baby notices they are starting to feel better and then does feel like themselves again. I like that there was a page progression to show that feeling better isn’t instantaneous. Then there’s the usual end page featuring vignettes of things that make Baby feel better. Good to reinforce emotional health tools and good spring board for parents to ask “What makes your mad go away?”. Great toolbox book for parents. Enjoyable to read, as usual, from this author.

I guess my daughter can really relate to the story, she loves it and imitates the actions of the baby in the book!

Sweet book
Our 2.5 year old loves this book, and so do we. It’s simple but enjoyable to read. We sympathise with the parents as they try their darnedest to help this poor cranky baby. Meanwhile, our daughter also learns some coping skills (such as ‘breathe in, breathe out’) that she’s been using all by herself. The book is a great introduction to this author.
