Just what the weedeater ordered

I went to my neighborhood Lowe's to get a replacement cartridge for their 40V string trimmer and I was glad I did. Even though they were all out of the cartridges that would fit the model I owned, I discovered the range of models that they carried and was able to hone in on the replacements that fit the model we own. Time well spent making me an informed shopper.

Easy to install

First thing noticed spool didn't drop all the way down for bump stop to work correctly. Measured original diameter at bump stop is 1in and 15/16 the replacement were 1in and 7/8 so doesn't allow for cover to go all the way down and leads to breaking string often. Better off taking string and putting on original spool. Should have just went to Lowe's instead of convenience of Amazon

No advantage over rewinding your own and much more expensive.

The spool fit my Kobalt grass weed trimmer and .08 string feeds out just fine. It handles average weeds but not tough vines which is why I use a thicker line on my other trimmer such as .095 so not to over work favorite trimmer. Good deal & price.

Honestly extremely easy install and it’s easier to buy these then to try to re fill it you’re self

Poor imitation. Poor fit. Hard to advance filament. Stick with original equipment.
