It's an interesting History book about our culinary world. Although are a few grammar and spellings errors it was great!

Used for a class. It was very handy. It helped me get a high grade.

Me parece uno de los mejores libros que sobre la historia de la comida he leido. Esta llenos de detalles culturales sobre el desarrollo del gusto por ciertos alimentos dependiendo de las regiones y culturas. Me parece tambien que el trato que necesariamente se le da es muy ligero, aunque entendible, dada la amplitud del tema a lo largo de los milenos. En ciertas partes del libro me da la impresion que el autor se repite de lo dicho mismo en otras partes del libro, sin restarle ningun merito a este gran esfuerzo. La densidad del material anecdotico de este libro lo hace una lectura a veces pesada, pero necesaria, dado el contexto y gran ambicion del autor. Recomiendo ampliamente su lectura para cualquiera que ame o trabaje con la comida. Es sin duda una lectura obligada.

This is one of those books that brings history alive. No battles and kings and queens. But what people did and how things changed.

It's an amazing book

This book gives me a broad view of the history of food, globally and deeply. The style is critical and elegant.
