Wilson's China: A Century On

I have many of Wilson's books and found them most interesting. I learned most of my back country China from his travels. But they were slow and dry reading. Flanagan's book turned that into fun reading. For those without access to Wilson's oldies, or have them weighing down their book shelves, give yourself a present and read Flanagan instead. Of course, I have to also plug O'Brien's "Augustine Henry" book. Between the two, a reader will have a good idea of the early plant collectors' place in garden plant development in the past 2 centuries.

Excellent book. Fascinating read
