Works great!!
This is great for the binding of journals. I bought it in several colors...and widths. I personally like the 2 inch best for my needs. But they are all good quality and very sticky. I hope they come out with even more colors. I will definitely buy more!!

Better than expected. Excellent finish on the tape.
I've been repairing and restoring antique Hawaiian books. The two pictured are both over 170 years old and neither had a spine. I used book cloth and fussy sub-structure for the larger book, but the rougher, smaller book was easily reassembled using the BookGuard tape. I intended to cover the taped spine with book cloth but the finish on the tape was actually much nicer. So I affixed the leather title labels directly on the tape for a great look. Asterisk Books in Hoboken will make leather and foil labels that add polish to any repaired book. And the BookGuard tape looks amazing with them. The smaller book has both the spine and the cover corners done in the BookGuard tape. The larger has a wide 4.5" book cloth binding, but the edges of the old cover have been protected by the Bookguard tape. There were some partial remnants of the original foilwork on tattered cloth on the the smaller book which is perfectly preserved under some acid-free paper - under the BookGuard tape. This is only possible because of the strong adhesive that has a perfect balance between adhesion and the ability to remove the tape without destroying the fragile surface.

Strong secure binding, but use carefully
I wanted to use it to repair the binding of a book that had been chewed by my dog. It worked very well, but was trickier to use than I expected. That is, I ended up with a small wrinkle in the binding which could not be straightened out. It stick very firmly, which is what it's supposed to do, but I didn't want to take the chance to try to remove it, since it could have damaged the binding more that it had been. The result is that the book is much better than it had been, but not perfect.

Just Like a Library
I needed to stabilize a vintage Missal and decided to get the real library product instead of electrical tape or other black duct or masking tape. I am glad I did. This is easy to work with and looks nice to prevent further damage. Highly recommended.

Much stronger and better-looking
than packing tape. This applies to all colors they have.

The tape is easy to use.
I create and bind my sermon notes for future reference. I use the tape on the binding to cover staples. I had been using an old roll of book tape and needed a new roll. This tape seems to work perfectly. I do find it a little thinner than what I was using but I did not think about that when I ordered the tape so it is not the tape's fault. I was able to pull what I needed and cut without any issues. It has stuck well to my cardstock and looks really good on the binding. I do have a few older books that will need tape in the future and I don't see why this tape would not work on fixing them up. Good product for me so far.

Works amazing
The cloth book tape is heavy duty and finishes my book ends nicely, I home school, so printing my childrens school materials and then binding them myself saves a lot of money. I also fixed up a few of my childrens well loved books so they can continue to love them. The glue is VERY sticky and you should make sure you put it in place properly as you can't adjust once touching paper.I'm hoping to get other colours in the future

Sticks, flexes and stays in place
Used to repair a kindle case, among other things. It does exactly what is says. Unlike a product from another vendor, for which I have to find a use - perhaps as masking tape as it peels so easily.
