The History of the Commission for Relief in Belgium, 1914-1917

An interesting account written and published before Hoover could stop it. Shows up the tremendous tensions between the American and Belgian sides of the operation. Much much better as a source than any of the Hoover-friendly sycophants. And it is also helpful to the researcher that the book is well set out and indexed.

Excellent research with, in itself revealing, many missing points. The CRB still has to be discovered as a centre-piece of the Allied WWI strategy.
