Insightful and meandering in a fun way.
Dr Pronk is up front that he isn't a writer and by his own admission this results in "an imperfect book". The upfront warning reflects a greater and more humble message contained in the book that the average person can do amazing things if they dedicated themselves; all this related from an average person. The message of motivation is not driven by overcoming extraordinary odds or being driven by great adversity, but by someone who worked hard and focused on a goal. The book focuses on practical tips on how techniques, ideas and concepts can be applied in every day life to help you perform better.Straight forward to read, funny at times and slightly non-linear in a way that facilitates dipping in and out based on what might be interesting or how much time you have. The crux of the book is that the tapestry of events that lead to Dr Pronk succeeding in life is alluded to but often hidden - which is a great shame.

Quick and humble read
The book is a quick and humble read. The author comes from humble beginnings which makes the story more genuine and relatable. Practical with no bs that you see all over the internet these days. People see all these nice warm and fuzzy posts from friends and celebrities online that they have become accustomed to these standards of "empty" unsubstantiated motivation. I'm not going ruin the book and to tell you how you will end up feeling, but this quick read is a good response to all that empty motivation out there. Comes with the free audio version, which is nice if you want to be multitasking, but you'll get more from reading than listening. To the author, thank you for taking the time write this short and to-the-point story that goes over many parts of your life, it makes us spend less time reading and more time doing things.

Concise, distilled and road-tested guidance for achieving transformative goals
In this short and highly readable book, Dan reflects on the sources of inspiration and wisdom that he's collected and used over the course of his storied life. By turns humorous and serious, and always with his characteristic modesty, Dan shares the lessons that he's learnt and provides a concentrated distillation of advice for setting and achieving goals that transform your future. Whether starting out in the world, taking on a new project or career, or taking a moment to reflect on your life to date, this is a great point of reference against which to examine your philosophy of life.

Great read!!
Great read! It was awesome to see how down earth Dan is. Never take yourself too seriously is a lesson we can all learn from. The only downside was I flew through it I wish it was longer.

Great read and super motivational. Great insight from his point of view on the military, his educated experience and forward thoughts on carrying smart momentum into your personal goals and lives. Would love to see a sequel or more from the military or even interesting Doctor stories.

An easy and enjoyable read. The book maintains a comfortable balance between the humour and more serious sides of life. I would recommend this book to read as it just might leave you with a couple of ideas to explore within your own life.
I'm looking forward to the next book, the author has managed to tell an interesting story while incorporating a wealth of life experience, much of which the majority of us will never experience.

The world needs more 'Average 70kg D**kheads' like this
An inspirational and thought provoking read from start to finish. Dan shares some of his life experiences and lessons learnt along the way, from setting goals, staying humble and the selfless art of Random Acts of Kindess. The author's relaxed writing style also makes it incredibly easy to follow (finished this in one sitting). The world needs more 'Average 70kg D**kheads' like this, motivating more people to be good and for the right reasons. Plus, it's under a fiver!...Thank you and keep up the good work Mr Pronk!

Wisdom - distilled into every day common sense
Have read a lot of books in this area, particularly those write by former Servicemen. This is a standout! It’s every day language helping you understand that any ordinary person wit discipline, drive and determination, can achieve his well thought through goals

You will not be disappointed on this read!
This book was a absolute pleasure to read. I like how it is very honest and very humble account of his life. It has the authors ups and lows in life with no sugar coating it. Some of the quotes on life are outstanding. The reader will also get a list of other books to take a look at as the author suggests other reads along his way in the book.Overall a fantastic book from a very honest and humble guy who does not take himself to seriously but strives to do his utter best in life.
