Makes me wanna keep riding
The vittoria barzo 29 x 2.35 is absolutely amazing. I've been mountainbiking for 30 years so have been through a lot of tyres but decided to stick with maxxis for the last few years. Until I tried vittoria, barzo up front and mezcal out back and I must say omg, why haven't I used them sooner. Super fast rolling, amazing grip ( dry conditions at present), lighter weight and more control. Vittoria is now my go to tyre, important info:- don't listen to reviews that state the size is under the stated size. If you run them on 25mm internal rim or wider they are spot on,

Measures in line with expectations
On an i30 rim the tyre comes up at bang on 2.5, a little bit less than the stated 2.6, but Barzos in all sizes run a bit small

Excellent reviews in the MTB press so I bought theseInitially wanted to run tubeless on mavic cross max UST wheels - but couldn’t get the bead to sit flushSo I guess they’re suited to more modern standard tubeless wheels rather than proprietary UST from MavicI then ran them with tubes (Shwalbe extra light) and they’re superb tyres - look great with the grey sidewall - no issues or anythingTraction is excellent in mud and also hard packRelatively lightProbably the best 26” modern tyres of high performance you can getPeople often run one of these in combination with MezcalMade in Thailand but better quality than French made Hutchinson Python I had beforeI run 2.25 at the back and 2.1 at the frontIf only they worked well with UST hence 4/5

winter choice for a rear
***nice choice for a rear 2.1**took 3 days to import from Amazon france.*not easy to BEAD on DT swiss 533d rim...with DIY insert.

I should've listened to the other person. More like a 2.3".
I ordered this along with the Mezcal 2.6 and they are not even close to being the same size. The Mezcal is great but this one is narrow. However, since I wanted Barzo front and Mezcal rear, I actually returned the 2.5 Mezcal and fitted a 2.35 Mezcal on the rear. Now the tyres are roughly the same volume. Vittoria needs to address this since many riders want to ride this combo. Ignoring the width issue, it's a great tyre. Seated well and loads of grip for an XC/trail tyre. The Mezcal rear and Barzo front are a match made in heaven.

Punctured on first ride
My first and last experience of Vittoria tyres. Looked good on paper & in the flesh. Easy to set up tubeless. However first ride out, tyre holed on a gravel fire road. A trail I've ridden countless times on numerous other brand tyres and never knowingly punctured. Hole was too large even for a tyre plug. I thought these were meant to be tough...

Does not measure the stated 2.6”
Purchased a barzo to use with a mezcal on the rear, the barzo was very small in comparison to the mezcal (which measures bang on 2.6” wide on my rims) the barzo was more like 2.3”, amazon sent a replacement but that was the same so they both went back. Running two mezcals instead
