Tractor Ted: Showtime [DVD]

I have two boys, aged 2 and 4, and they absolutely love this. Forget the cartoon tractors and other moral tales of exciting adventures, real farm action seems to be much more interesting. Dare I say that not only do my boys love it, but I consider it to be more educational too!Although the production doesn't seem totally polished, the kids can watch this again and again, we have all 5 in the set and although we limit TV time, they ask to watch this nearly every day.Keeps them quiet for an hour, and inspires hours of fun in the garden with toy machines.The harvesting stage is a good season to allow them to learn about where food comes from, in a way they can relate to, so I like to talk to them about what they see, and how we finally get that produce.All in all, highly recommended

My 2 year old son loves the Tractor Ted series. This was the second one we bought and it is just as popular as the first (Big Machines).It is mostly filled with real-life footage of farm machinery going about the daily routine, with some basic commentary over the top (and a few songs "Isn't it amazing....How we bring the maize in..." brilliant). He will watch it again and again and it at least has some educational element to it, showing where potatoes, apples, etc come from. It is not hugely different to the other one we have but it has different machines doing different jobs so there is enough variety.Just be warned, you will be singing the "Apples" song without even knowing it.

Son loves these tractor ted dvds, bit sceptical on the price for amount of running time but he gets so much out of them more than makes up for this.catchy music, good filming with not too much commentary just enough to tell the child what is being done, son now knows most of the farm machinery, crops and methods.Not keen on him watching TV but rather this than some of the bland offerings for children with commercialisation.Only grip is that they don't do box sets to reduce the cost, by from some of the cheaper

Only recently discovered this series of dvd's and my 6 & 4 year old boys are glued - as is my 2 yr old daughter..... and me! It's so important for kids to know what goes on 'behind the scenes' and Tractor Ted gives a wonderful glimpse into this part of our world! We will be collecting more!

My son has been a huge fan of Tractor Ted for a couple of years, and now his little sister happily watches too. This is another great DVD - bought to keep the collection complete - which is along the same lines as the others. Very informative television.

Im a teacher and used this DVD in class to support my topic work. Lots of the children were already familiar with Tractor Ted and they loved this DVD! I've never seen so much interaction from the children with a TV programme! Lots of real life clips, questions to answer - a great watch!

My 20months old Grandson loves this DVD. He can't get enough of Tractor Ted - to his big sisters' dismay as he hogs the TV. This is a particularly good one as it involves children, adding to my Grandson's interest. I highly recommend the Tractor Ted series.
