I was hunting for a special journal for a gift when I came across this one. I was instantly mesmerized by it.This journal is one of the most charming ones I have seen. Part of a collection by Scotsman and poet Andrew Lang, the vintage collection (1907) has a unique and magical flair.I ordered it! But I wasn’t sure what to expect. The online pictures of the journal were exquisite. The attention to detail was amazing.Would the journal live up to the online visuals?Well, it more than did.The cover is a rich olive. It has a kind of old library feel about it but without the dust. The fairies are beautifully drawn and seem to literally be floating across the cover. I was transported to a fairy forest somewhere in a fairy kingdom. The art is very reminiscent of early 20th Centuty.Beyond the stunning art, the overall quality is amazing. High quality paper, beautiful binding an an unexpected pouch for momentos, this is a great gift for a young girl to write her dreamscapes.Beautifully made, it proved to be an elegant addition to my friend’s book and journal collection.

This journal is wonderful. Very nice sturdy packaging when it arrived.The look, and feel of the journal is luxurious!

the journal itself is very high quality. the cover actually feels like a book from back in the day & the pages are nice and thick. it even has a design on the pages themselves! (unfortunately not very visible on camera)there's an iridescence to the gold foil which makes it look a bit cheap but not enough to dock it a star. the reason why i gave it 4 instead of 5 is because of the bookmark and the elastic band. it would look a lot better if both were gold or even a lighter olive :(

This journal is sure to be a showstopper. It’s the perfect size to put in a purse or backpack with nice smooth paper. I cannot wait to write beautiful poetry in this beautiful book.

I bought this for my daughter’s birthday and she loved it! It is very beautiful and has nice, thick pages.
