I am really happy with this purchase. I immediately opened the box, everything was well packaged. I checked the batteries which all come wrapped in plastic (so make sure you unwrap them, they are in the larger candles). Once I got all the batteries unwrapped I made sure the remote worked (after removing the plastic tab). Everything works great. I really like the “flicker” feature - they look realistic and are exactly what I wanted!I haven’t tested the timer feature - but there are four options. All 4 larger candles, except the tea lights, work on the remote. There is also an adjustable brightness option on the remote, which makes the lights “flicker” but can also turn the brightness up one level or down one level.

These candles are wonderful for adding a beautiful warm glow in any room. These candles are going to be great with the holidays approaching. The large candles are even remote controlled which is a great feature for somebody like me who is in their 70's. Just the push of a button and any room is instantly transformed into a warm, inviting area. The 4 votive candles must be turned on by hand, which is ok, since it is the 4 large ones that makes this set so special. All candles come with batteries, so they are ready to enjoy right out of the box. I have seen many candle sets that cost more but this is a great set a a great price. Not to be missed.

After losing power a couple of weeks ago and having trouble finding my candles and matches, I decided that maybe these would be a good idea. They arrived quickly, and I was pleasantly surprised that batteries were included for the pillar candles. I thought I was going to have to go get some once I found out the size. This was a big plus! The votives have small batteries installed already. If those wear out, you have to unscrew the bottom and replace those. Not a big problem.I immediately put the batteries in and used the remote to set the candles for 2 hours. They all went off on time! The votives don't work with the remote, but they have a switch on the bottom to turn them on and off.So far, I'm impressed. We haven't had a power outage since I got them, but now I'm ready!

Had them on the mantle. They look good when placed with other decor around it. I would not display them on their own. Only wish the small candles were also remote controlled.

Making a better statement about these battery operated candles, they are better than I first thought when I opened them. As I actually turned them on, I had thought I needed to purchase new batteries but not so. The batteries were all fine. In my haste I did not see that they had some packing plastic around them, and they were actually just fine. Yes, I know, call me whatever word for non-smart...They are just great for where I need to put them. The outside of the large and medium are waxed, but the finish on the small ones is smooth, in case someone may need that information.

This was unfortunate. Seller claims it comes with batteries. Correct, it does, ones that do not work. Seller markets this product "with remote". It does...only for 1/2 the candles. Very disappointed to spend not only the money but a waste of time and now have to return it all and order elsewhere. Only did I discover that it said remote only works with pillars after I researched and had to dig and dig to find the smallest print about the remote only works with 1/2 the candles. Why do I want a set of candles that the remote only works to 1/2?

I love these types of candles. I put food batteries in them back the ones they came with and they have listed all a long time. The times work perfectly. Live coming home to them burning. 10/10

All around EXCELLENT yet my pup took one grab at the remote and i quickly got it back and he punctured top remote so it's broke. That's my fault tho. Candles have switches on bottom so i still use and am grateful i had them set to my liking already. Will see how i can get another remote. You will not be disappointed!! Getting a few as gifts!

I bought these as a gift for my boyfriends mother and she loved them. Love the variety of sizes and the colour and design is nice. The flickering of the light isn’t as real as some other fake candles but if you put it in a candle holder it looks very nice in the dark. Would buy these again.

Not at all what I was expecting. They are fun. Some don’t work and they do not cycle. They look of good quality however. Have to return.
