Paul McCartney After the Beatles: A Musical Appreciation
P**T
A detailed and highly interesting review of 80 of Paul’s best songs post-Beatles
As a big fan of Paul McCartney, I have read many books about the man and musician. The period post-Beatles is most interesting to me personally as a fair bit of his life then was spent at High Park farm near Campbeltown. I was lucky enough to live, work and raise my family in the area whilst Paul was a frequent visitor to High Park. This book is a bit different approach from the rest as Adrian looks at 80 of Paul’s recordings from a technical musical perspective, but also describes what Paul’s life was like at that time, where the music was recorded, the band members involved and their input. Each essay can be read as stand alone. I find myself reading about a song, then listening to it with a fresh mindset. A highly enjoyable read, and memorable reference to the stories behind the songs.

McCartney fab book
I helped Adrian review some of the chapters prior to publication and he has done a Fab job detailing how Macca writes his music and contains a wide spread of Macca's recordings, even if like Macca you do not understand music you will still enjoy dipping in and out of this book and the 2nd book that has now come out.
