Much lighter than comparably priced units. Going on a MSR. Ounces equal pounds and pounds equal pain! It's Chinese Chineseium but it should hold up for its intended use which is holding a Surefire Weapon light. I painted mine. It was originally black.

So first off this item is well built and easy to install! I imagine it fits fine on most rails. I had two platforms that it simply would not snug down on, which made it unusable for me.

Finish is on the glossy side, but great for budget build rifles

First, the product image is a bit misleading. The rail portion is actually a bit longer than the attachment area, which for my purposes was a good thing. I was able to attach this just forward of the charging handle, but still have my attachment as far back as possible, without interfering with the operation of the charging handle itself. Second, this design is good, considering that it is steel, not aluminum, so the weight is kept to a minimum. Thirdly, you get what you pay for. Being that this item was only $13, I wasn't expecting much, but in fact, this rail mount adapter is fantastic, and well worth the money. Comes with hex wrench.

You will not get anything better than these for the price. If you have the money up your game. But if you are on a budget go for it.
