Designed by GEDORE, made in Slovenia.
It seems to be well made, with a 1/4" magnetic bit holder. The magnetic bit holder seems to be just powerful enough to hold the bit in place, without being too strong to the point where you can only remove it using pliers. You can lock it in 3 positions (Counter clockwise, locked and clockwise) and it works very smoothly. The handle has a nice anti-slip rubber and it seems to be very well made, providing a great grip. It is pricy, but Gedore is probably the best brand of tools in the world and it should last a life time.

First observations.
Just initial observations are that the ratcheting mechanism is extremely smooth and impressive. The dial to change the directions of ratcheting and to lock were difficult to control at first. Seems like this aspect could be better designed to be a more solid movement right and left. Seems sloppy as is .The handle is a little straight for my liking from front to rear of handle. Felt it could be thicker towards the rear more like the model 169 is designed.

Seems nice, but both of mine came faulty
My first unit came and would not lock without 1/4-1/2 turn of play and would not ratchet counter clockwise without getting stuck randomly.I ordered a replacement and the second unit had a very similar issue. It was not quite as bad, but would almost not lock at all and had issues ratcheting clockwise…Seems like it would be nice if it performed properly, but too concerned about it lasting now to order another one… it doesn’t seem like the ratcheting mechanism is that strong…

The reviews are correct
The reviews are correct in that most of the time the screwdriver does not lock up and simply spins without turning the screw. It’s nice and smooth when it does work but it’s definitely a disappointment.

Underrated Ratcheting Screwdriver
I own many ratcheting screwdrivers. This is my favorite along with my PB Swiss. Really great handle, no backdrag, great quality. This is the Rolgear ratcheting technology. Highly underrated!

Too long
The screwdriver itself is OK but it is too long for my taste. You see, I heard about bit extenders, have a few, and, believe it or not, know how to use them. Making a long screwdriver out of a short one is easy. Going in the opposite direction is hard. I tend to think that is the very rare case when Gedore engineers dropped a ball.In other words, I like Milwaukee (15-17 dead presidents) and Wera 816 RA (35-40 bucks) much more...BTW, both are sold by Amazon.

the cadillac of bit drivers
i love this driver so much! ive been using whenever i get the chance, it has almost no backdrag at all, the magnet is strong yet not too strong that you cant remove it,its very easy and intuitive to switch directions, the fit is perfect so almost zero wobble, and it feels like the clutch system for the gearless ratchet is on bearings...its one of those things you really need to try to understand.ive seen plenty of videos and they say not to break screws with the clutch engaged but ive been doing it for months and its been rock solid

Does not lock well
The back drag is Awsome however it does not always imdeiatly engage when needed and does not lock well at all. I like the technology however the bugs need fixing.
