Overall this is a really handy, sturdy shelf. We use it as a bedside shelf on our children’s bunk beds. We use it on the bottom bunk (hooked onto the frame where the mattress sits) for my oldest son so he doesn’t have to put his glasses and clock etc on the floor where they could get stood on. You could use this shelf in many places and situations. The only drawback was having to build it, and the price is hefty, (hence the 4 star rating) but it’s easy to build, is solid as a rock and looks like it will last years, so I’m pleased! It looks high quality and as if it came with the bed frame. If you’re concerned the hooks might dint or rub paint off your furniture, put some furniture pads inside the hooks, I did and they protect the bed frame a treat! I also placed some on the back panel of the shelf to protect the front of the bed frame as an extra precaution, it depends how fussy you are but I wanted to protect the new bed frame. Great delivery & packaging too.

The final version is fine but some of the screws would not screw fully in and the poor quality of the screws meant the screwdriver eroded the cross so we had to find alternative screws. I think the instructions are pretty basic and more detail would help.

Clip on shelf did exactly what it said on the tin! My granddaughter now has a very sturdy shelf on her bunk bed to put her drink and book on and no longer has to climb down for a drink. Very sturdy product,

Ordered this for our 8 year olds cabin bed. Fits perfectly and gives him plenty of space to put his water bottle, reading book and chosen toy car with room still to spare. His clip on light also attaches to it nicely. Husband says it went together nicely and it certainly feels sturdy. Only reason for 4 stars is that it felt a little expensive at £35.

Very well made and sturdy. My son loves having,at last, a kind of bedside table for his mid sleeper. He can fit his night light, a few small toys and some books(they don’t fit standing as the table isn’t wide enough so he has to pile them up). I would recommend this shelf for bunk beds, mid sleepers and those types of bed where you cannot reach a bedside table on the floor.

instructions were poor, the panels only fit a particular way around and the position of the dowels don’t help at all in finding the correct orientation.The drill holes to attach the metal hooks to the shelf were all 5 mm too short and required further drilling.

This is just what i needed at the side of my bed as i couldn't put a bedside cabinet next to it. allows me to have a drink near, keeps my glasses near. Well made would buy again.

Expensive for a difficult self assembly product. However good solid bits of wood. Definitely has good painted surfaces that should be showing and rough sides they shouldn’t.
