Amazing for the money
The fan is quiet, and I've had this running for over a year behind my TV with no issues. Great little case.

Effective cooling for Rpi4b
Bought this to upgrade a RPi4b being used for Home assistant. My previous case/heat sink was not coping during this summers high temperatures causing the RPi to throttle. With this heatsink case and the little fan in has stayed cool and no problems since., so problem solved.

Cool and quiet
Purchased to enclose my Pi for use with my telescope running Astroberry. The case replaced a similar fan and heat sink combo but without the protection of the full case. This new case cools the Pi much more effectively and the idle temps and temp under load are lower than the one it replaced. It’s very nearly silent to my ageing ears. One thing to mention is that the height of the case means that most Pi hats or add on boards designed to sit on top of a Pi will need an adaptor to extend the length of the IO pins as the case will interfere with a standard Pi hat position. For the price, this is a well designed case which effectively cools the Pi and provides some much needed protection for being outside and knocked about with my scope.

Awesome Case if you are looking to max out ripi overclock
so i decided to get a ripi 4b 8gb as dual boot desktop & retropie setup with a smattering of vmware. I spent a few hours looking at different cases and cooling solutions as i wanted to overclock my pi to its supposed maximum. so finally i decided on the case as the whole thing is a heat sync with an integrated 40mm fan.so to the point of this review....case quality is really high, super easy to installSUPERB LEVELS OF COOLING...Downside, its got a fan and it whirs a bit, (not at an irritting level)so i've just fished a 10 minute stress test on the pi and case combo using STRESS. ripi overclock settings as follows:over_voltage=6arm_freq=2200gpu_freq=750force_turbo=1so the pi is idling at 36 degrees c, under full load it was floating between 52.5 - 55 degrees c.This case is frigging awesome. what more can i say. absolutely amazing cooling for the price

Great case keeps my Pi cool
I couldn't be happier with this case. It looks great and is well constructed. I think the aluminum case with active cooling fan helps to keep the temperatures of my Pi really low. I bought a different aluminium case without active cooling not long before this this one, and the difference in temperature when running is massive. I have an overclocked Pi4 and this is the perfect case to keep it cool. I wouldn't say the fan is silent, but it's much quiter than other fans I've used. The noise from the fan isn't distracting. The only other small negative is the wires from the fan show quite obviously when plugged onto the exposed Pi pins on the side, but I think the beneift of having the pins exposed for easy accesibility outweighs that. You won't have to open the case to get to those pins if you need them. Two thumbs up from me. I love this case.

Amazing thermals, solid build quality!
I Bought the official pi4 starter kit which came with a plastic case and a fan. Running homebridge with a few plugins idled the temp at around 65 C, when i streamed video in homekit it would go as high as 75 C. The fan that came in the box, because of its connector can only be plugged into 5V and its LOUD, like a rocket ship and was constantly bugging me. That was the point when i started looking for another case. This case is MAGIC, even with the fan connected to 3.3V, the idle temp dropped to 35C, which is amazing for the longevity of the chip. I just wished it came with another GPIO connector which could be used to conditionally turn the fan on if the pi reached a certain temp, like the stock case. Just nit picking here but i have no complaints even with the fan at 5V, can't hear it.

Very well built case that looks great and keeps the RPI cool
An excellent product. Well built and precision made. I was very pleased with its performance as well. The cooling was effective in maintaining a cool temperate for the processor and SOC. Highly recommended and considerably better than the official plastic case that is noisy and cheap looking. Some of the screws are small and fiddly and I had to push them quite hard in order to get sufficient bite but in the end, they held the case together very firmly.
