Yoga Blanket - Thick Mexican Thunderbird Blanket - Handmade and Made for Yoga!

A versitile and practical beauty. While the coloration of the Thunderbird motif does not exactly match the picture I am delighted with my new Yoga/all-purpose blanket. Thick as described and seemingly a solid quality for the price. Having the opportunity to select this meaningful color and design stimulates my aesthetic and makes my yoga sessions more beautifully and comfortably my own. I am highly pleased with this purchase.

This is the third blanket that I have bought from Open Roads and havebeen happy with my purchases. The quality and thickness of this blanketlive up to my expectations. I received my blanket a few days earlier thanthe due date.

I worked really hard choosing this blanket. My starting place was the much loved blankets at my favorite yoga places, but this blanket is unique and really beautiful. The light purple evokes the crown chakra. It’s a beautifully made, high quality blanket. The weave is tight, but the blanket is still soft, flexible and supportive for yoga. Side seams are neat and tight. No odor. I washed it as soon as it arrived (delicate, low heat dry) - no lint when I washed it or after. This blanket is perfect for my needs. It fits my massage table well for my Polarity practice. It’s nice and long for my 5’11” size - perfect for yoga, as a throw and more ... This blanket will have a meaningful place in my life and I am so pleased I decided to purchase this one.

Just what I wanted to do some at home restorative yoga. I see a lot of complaints about shedding but I haven't experienced that. I have never washed the blanket and there was no smell out of the package. I don't really know if I'll ever have a need to wash it because only using it for some chill restorative yoga and meditation I don't see how it could get dirty. Seems like the people having issues with it are probably machine washing it too much or too intensely. I did a lot of research to try to find the perfect blanket for yoga and I am happy I made this choice.

I ordered this because I liked the uniqueness of the color of this blanket. When I received it I was very happy with the color, softness, and quality. I can’t wait to take it to class!

I wasn't sure what to expect. But they are very comfortable. Large. Relaxing. The color is rich. The first was so great, I bought a second, and I'm expecting to buy a third. I'm using them primarily for yoga, and afternoon naps. I'm taking the third one to the office to do yoga there on lunch break. Heavy, but not overly so, and not super-hot or anything. They seem to wash okay. Really love this purchase.

smaller and thinner than expected from description and price

The product was described as being 'heavy weight', I would (strongly) suspect they meant to say medium. Dimensions stated approx. 80 x 60cm. Again I would suspect they meant to say 78 x 52cm. If either aspect had been the case, I would probably have kept the 2 items purchased, and made do, but with it being of medium weight (in my opinion) AND only 52 cm width (not 60) which meant that whilst they will meet, they will not overlap, so that the whole of my settee is covered, which had the item been 60cm as stated (or even 58) it would have been sufficient to provide so level of overlap. I have the option to either purchase a 3rd in order to make good the shortfall in width to that advertised but instead I have decided to return both items and shop again for a product that will prove to be closer if not exact to the dimensions advertised.
