Best when used below freezing
When I first got this disc I was eager to try it out. It is much lighter than the JAWZ disc but it is definitely intended to only be used when the temperature is below freezing. I used it once with temps. in the low 40's and my 42lb Border Collie put puncture marks in it and made the edges jagged. It is light and flies nice though. So when the temp. dropped I brought the disc back out and now there are no new marks! The company is right, it does stiffen in cold weather but is too soft at warmer temps to be used by the average dog.

Very Soft and Flyable, But Beware if You Have Hard Biters
I HAD to purchase this disc because of an event that restricted players to using Hyperflite discs. My dogs have a specific preference for disc hardness, so I bought this disc. My medium to hard biters had this chewed up within 15 minutes of play. They were too soft. Otherwise, if I had soft biters, this would have been awesome.

Love this!
The FrostBite disc is great! It gets really cold here - below freezing almost every day in the winter - and this disc has not cracked like others we have bought. It's not as sturdy as the K-10 Jawz disc which we also have and love (this one does have some teeth marks) but it is easier to throw than the Jawz and is still in one piece. We have 2 labs so toys definitely get chewed. This product holds up very well.An update - it's a year later and we are still using this disc!

Hyperflex is better in winter conditions
The Frostbite isn't as durable as the Hyperflex Disc by Hyerflite. My GSD put several punctures through this disc in only a couple of winter frisbee sessions here in Colorado. Meanwhile, the Hyperflex has lasted all winter with only one puncture. The Frostbite does fly more accurately than the Hyperflex, because the plastic is a little stiffer/heavier, but it can't touch the Hyperflex in terms of durability.

Does not crack in cold weather, period.
Doggy tested and approved at 20 degrees F and 8,500ft above sea level. Maybe a little light for play in high winds, but my dog doesn't like catching heavier discs, so this one is probably perfect. We've got a Jaws Disc for Summer play, and while it's heavier, and more durable, it's not recommended for cold weather play. The Frost Bite is nowhere near as bite resistant as the Jaws, so if cold/cracking isn't a concern, I'd go with the Jaws.

Not Their Best
Not as durable as I’d hoped. Picture is from after playing for about 5-10 minutes. Frisbee easily dented and even punctured just from one game of disc with my collie. I did purchase another model from them which has held up infinitely better. Flies well, but not durable enough just for catch there for I do not recommend wasting your money on this model.

my Aussieslove the frost bite
I live in the Adirondacks and have 2 Aussies that play with the disc 365 days. this is the 2nd one I got because a Lab stole the last one.I used to buy cheap ones but they did not stand up to the cold and the tugging they do with it. if you live in the cold climate and have to play every time you go out this is for you and your dog. have fun

Simply an expensive remake of many other useless discs
This thing will not fly any distance if flipped. It refuses to fly level unless you swing your toss cross-body. It will not 'hang' in the air. The edges are too rigid. This thing could knock out a tooth. Too rigid for Max (110 pound Lab) to easily PU off concrete or asphalt. This will irritate lips and gums it appears. After five tosses on asphalt, the edges are ground and frayed. Poor material choice. Wish I could get a full refund.Been using a disc from Old Navy Dog Supply Company (No longer available) for nearly 8 years with two Labs. Smooth and plyable yet rigid and tough where it needs to be. Both dogs have loved this Old Navy thing and have not used it as a chew toy. They seem to know it's their's to enjoy and treat it wisely. (Labs are indeed intelligent). An edge has just recently become torn and I need to find a method to repair or vulcanize the tear before it extends further. This OLD NAVY baby will FLY distances, soar flat, roll nicely and -hang- in the air easily for long perionds without having to power a toss. Gentle tosses work best on that one.But back to this Hyperflite Frost Bite; I'll put this up on the shelf with the other useless masses of discs I've tried and go searching for a materials scientist that can repair the Old Navy disc.Seriously,[email protected] (and Max the lab)

Not good for dogs
These frisbees are extremely expensive considering they do NOT stand up to any abuse at all by dogs' teeth.I am honestly pretty choked at how much I paid, and how little use I got out of them.Fly nice when they are not full of holes.
