Quality Boot Stretcher- It Works! :-)
HOUNDSBAY Bloodhound Professional Western Cowboy Boot Stretcher for Men - size small: This is a quality product. I have used the boot stretcher to stretch out certain areas inside my new Dan Post pair of boots. The boots fit fairly well new out of the box but I am using them to C&W dance and developed blisters after the first few times I danced in them. I decided a boot stretcher might do the trick and looked through the ones currently available online on Amazon (as of March 2025). Even though the Houndsbay boot stretcher was a bit more expensive I was going for quality that would last. I wanted one with a hardwood insert and metal parts, not plastic that might deteriorate over the years. I don't go through a lot of cowboy boots, but I can see buying another pair every 4-6 years depending on how well they hold up.I wasn't exactly sure which size stretcher to order since my boot size varies depending on the manufacturer (Men's 9, 9.5 or even 10!) but my newest boots are size 9 so I went with the size small stretcher. I'm glad I went with the small and not the medium since the stretcher is a tight fit in my boots. Add on one of the stainless steel buttons to target a specific area and the fit gets even tighter. If I'd purchased the medium stretcher I likely would not have been able to insert it all of the way into the toe box. My tentative recommendation if you're like me and have a boot size that is sort of on the border between one size boot stretcher and another, go with the smaller size especially if you plan to use the metal buttons to stretch out a specific location within the boot. The main problem I was trying to correct was that my right, second smallest toe's knuckle was being rubbed raw because the boot was too tight at that specific location. I put one of the three metal buttons (the smaller, elongated button) onto the stretcher using one of the pre-drilled holes, inserted the stretcher and turned the crank while pushing on the wood to position the button at the spot I thought was causing the blister. Cranking open the stretcher pushed the metal button into the leather and stretched it out over the span of 48 hours. I increased the stretch by cranking the stretcher open even more over that two day period. After removing the stretcher I tried on the boot and while it did stretch it out the button wasn't exactly in the right spot so I had to redo the process a few more times, repositioning the button's placement on the stretcher and within the boot to get it to stretch the correct area. It worked! I've been dancing a few times since and no more blisters! There's a bit of trial and error experimenting involved to stretch out the correct location in a boot, but overall it's not a difficult process just a little time consuming. It sure beats getting painful blisters! lolI have noticed that the fit of my right boot is not only a lot more comfortable because my toe isn't going to develop a blister, but the overall fit is better because the toe box and area towards the front half of my foot has been widened slightly due to the stretcher. You might want to keep that factor in mind while using the stretcher so you don't make the overall fit too loose.Hope my review helps. I was NOT paid or given a free boot stretcher to write this review. I purchased it myself at full price and have written this review to help others out.

Makes Uncomfortable/Unwearable Boots Wearable!
My husband has several pairs of nice, expensive cowboy boots. He also has painful bunions. He began using this on the boots ever since it arrived, and it works very well. It is sturdily made, is easy to use, and has all the tools needed to customize the fit for whatever size and placement works for the bunions. He is now wearing the boots in comfort! So glad we found this!

š¢Time will tell
Bought this for Ropers I intend to dance in. Noticed during practice my left pinky toe was thinking about creating a corn if I kept going.Searched for cowboy boot stretchers. Of all offered went with this brand for appearance of quality and design. Despite what some reviewers noted. Figured if this were true could return.I really like it. You get one boot stretcher. Not sure why some people complained in that one is enough. Or pay way more for two. Do one at a time and itāll work fine.Upon inspection of steel parts didnāt notice any issues with the integrity or ability for the device to rotate either direction upon trial outside of the boot.My one issue, a big one, where the plugs are designed to insert does NOT align with my pinky toe or big toe. The two that have the most probability of issue. And why I purchased this in the first place.I laid my foot over the wood. Nope, not a match. Therefore, using the plug does zero for that particular zone. The shoe style stretcher has plenty of options and would work great. But I need a cowboy boot stretcher. Not sure why Bloodhound designers didnāt add extra holes.Iāve decided to do several steps. See what happens. Use the device minus a plug. Then, try the plug.If the device does a good job widening the boot enough I can add a hole myself in the proper space on the wood of decide the rest of the device is worth keeping. With Bloodhoundās design the plugs go up top and over the toe. Not extend to the side where my pinky toe is.I wear a womanās 11. Typically wide for the toe issue on the left foot. For dancing need a snug not tight boot. If this helps then Iāll keep it for other boots. If not, then return. While in the military they had us walk in water. Then, stuff our new boots with newspaper. They were so comfortable. Not sure troops use this type of boot anymore. Leather upper and rubber sole.Anyway, Iād considered this but do not want to soak these boots. Itāll screw up the leather sole.I have treated these with conditioner and this did not soften them enough for comfort of that one tiny toe. So, here we are. With the stretcher in expanded does appear to snug the boot and expand a bit. Per instructions am making certain not to over stretch.Iāll try this for practice and if itās a go keep the device. If it doesnāt work the first try will stretch a little more a second round. Then, see if the toe plug might help and discover if Iām missing something about the upper angle and maybe it does not need to be at toe level. The design and structure itself is five star. The plugs equal minus one star for design flaw. The human foot compared to wood plug mismatch where the space is needed.I would recommend this product and believe the quality is worth the money for lifelong use.If directions are followed and time is taken to carefully stretch the books over serval sessions if this much time is needed it is my view the stretcher will last for generations if cared for properly.āļøāļøāļøāļø
