Bought to replace remote that basically had given up, no set up needed, worked straight away, i dont know if all LG remotes are the same but the 2 new ones i have brought for different TVs work each other so it just depends on the different features of your T.V. NICE !!!

Like for like replacement
I bought this to replace the original remote that came with the TV as due to wear and tear some of the buttons on the original had stoped working. This remote works in exactly the same way as the original, all features work. It even feels like the original, the only difference being is there is no LG logo on it.
