I have no idea. but I would never try to hold a cat down to clipper it. It works great on matted dog hair so I guess it would work

While I have heard that they work well on people as well, I recommend looking into our barber clippers, either sold by wahl professional or one of our consumer products. I used it on my long hair chihuahua. I like these clippers. Even though I have a stray cat I feed, I wish I can find a home for her, I only use it on my dog. I don't see why you can't use it on your cat though.
