SilverStone TechnologyAP120i-PRO Air Penetrator 120mm Enhanced PWM Controlled Air Channeling Fan (SST-AP120I-PRO)

I have used the Silverstone AP fans for years for special applications. They work as advertised. This one is no different. It's like putting a Vornado fan in your PC. These fan work best as side fans and areas where you need directed airflow. They perform this type of job exceptionally well. This one moves plenty of air even at my fan's average speed of1400RPM and it is not too loud.I purchased this fan to cool a server motherboard requiring direct air flow in a Corsair 800D case. This case is not known for well thought out air flow. I had some issues with the upper 4 channels of ram and their VRM running on the warmer side, but still well within spec. Paired with a JXSZ 5.25 Bay fan mount, the problem memory VRM went from 51C to 44C and the upper RAM modules went from 47C to 41C. The processor, GPU and other VRMs got a 3C reduction in temperatures. The CPU cooler also does not run as loud.This fan performs extremely well. My only complaint is that the cable is not sleeved. All my previous Silverstone AP fans have always had the sleeved cables. I am glad to see that they upped the game with PWM, a feature I have been waiting forever for on this series of fans. I also have a Silverstone AP180 running in low RPM mode as a side fan in the modded side panel and this pair sure beats a case full of loud server fans.

Not sure if its the stock or what, was really bummed when gamers nexus recommended this fan line so highly.Will attempt to contact the manufacturer and update my review accordingly.
