A Handy Daily Living Aid For People With Bending/Mobility Issues
I was so happy to see that this featherweight Original Reacher was on the market! I remember it from the year in 1998 when I had back surgery. This is an incredible daily living tool for picking up kleenex, small vitamins & small clothing (shoes, socks, scarves, jewelry, etc.) that have dropped onto the floor . If anyone has limited bending ability or arthritic hand issues, this reacher is very easy to squeeze & release the trigger handle. I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND using this reacher for picking up heavy dishes, pots, glass cups, cans, or pans.etc, In fact, the reacher's summary description states that it lightweight and it is! If you drop as many small items as I do in a day on the floor, it is a convenient and easy way to pick them up . A good product in my opinion.

Helpful, but not as good as other styles for my needs
Prior to having spine surgery I purchased several different reacher tools in various lengths and styles. This reacher is my least favorite and isn't as useful to me as the others that I've purchased. The length is good and the peg sticking out on the end is helpful at times for lifting or flipping things over.I haven't needed the magnet on the end for anything so I can't personally comment on that, but I have heard that it's very weak so if you need the magnet you may want to add a more high-powered magnet to it yourself rather than relying on the built-in magnet. But the grip strength in this reacher is practically non-existent. It can only pick up very light things such as socks or a tee shirt. The things I need to pick up are all a bit heavier than that. So I have relegated this reacher for use with cleaning up the puppy pee pads that I have around my cat litter boxes. It is light enough and dexterous enough that it can easily pick up edges of the pads to fold them over and then pick up the entire, folded pad for putting into the trash. And is very good for placing clean pads down and pushing them into their proper places. I do this task several times per day as I have old/sick cats who don't always pee inside the litter box (even when they're sitting inside it!). So, while it is my least favorite, it does still have useful features and works well for one task I have to do several times per day.

Physically limited
This is the fourth reacher I order., the first one more than five years ago. Some I have given as presents. It's a great helper, sturdy enough, very well engineered.

32 " Reacher
Enjoyed using the 32 inch Reacher. The only problem is sometimes the grab arm goes past the stop & gets hung up.

Yes it's light, but the gripper is also flimsy as a result
Very light reacher stick, but gripper goes off track and sticks sometimes. It's usable to grab mug with a handle or something else not too heavy. Not sure what you'd use this for really. Just put everything you need within your reach. If you drop a sock or clothing or something and can't bend due to stitches, this would work for you.

Nice and long
This reacher is longer than many others and makes it a great asset!

Very strong
Grippy, strong, simple mechanics. Some damage may be repaired by some users themselves.

70cm, remember that
This is a great tool but handy to remember that 70cm requires some bending.Great grip though and well built

Nearly okay.
I have two perfect pick up sticks from my days as a therapist and wanted a third to have one in every room. This one is nearly as good but the distance between the handle and the trigger is greater than my hand span, web space to fingers, can manage comfortably so it is less comfortable and less usable than the others and I know I will tend to use the others more because of this.I have a size seven hand. The ergonomics of hand size should surely be a factor when designing such a product and this would be unusable for anyone with smaller hands than mine, and barely by anyone with hands the same size. So sadly, if your hand size is less than a seven you might not be able to use it or you might need to think of some way to adapt it, I haven't worked out how to do that yet.In every other way this is a great product but if I can't manage the mechanism because of poor design it's a bit pointless.
