Perfect for kitchen!
I have been looking for these towels for a long time! I had some similar years ago and just could never find them again! They are the perfect towel for drying dishes or for use as a hand towel while cooking. They leave no lint behind! I’m going to order another set to put away for when these wear out!

Not perfect, but are fine for everyday use.
Contrary to some reviews, my towels are absorbent and do just fine( I did machine wash and dry mine before use).Contrary to instructions, I washed mine on hot(125F per my handy thermometer I bought on Amazon ;) and also contrary to instructions I put them in the dryer on hot and they came out fine, some people reported that the color stripes bled on the white material, but I didn't have a problem with that. Some reviewer mentioned they shrunk, I mean they are 100% cotton, what do you expect? I didn't measure them, as shrinkage is not a concern of mine.I use these to dry my hands to save on paper towels and to dry dishes, and they work fine for me.There were some imperfections with them. Some of the towels had a thread where a small length of the thin thread might be dark where the bleaching process didn't totally whiten the thread(that's a guess at the cause, I don't really know for sure, I'm not a textile expert). It is noticeable if you study the towel, but not a big deal to me. On one towel some the fabric was rough and raised. Did these imperfections come from my washing and drying on hot? I don't know but it's ok because I'm going to wash on hot but maybe I'll reduce my dryer heat by one setting. For the money I paid, the imperfections are acceptable to me. The other towels I was considering were much more money.I use these for everyday drying. If I had a guest over and thought they might inspect my towels(you know any of those people? lol), maybe I would go with a slightly higher quality towel, but for my needs and every day use they are fine. I consider them a good value for everyday use. Also, I did want to hang these on a drawer knob(about 1.25" diameter) by my sink but the loop is not large enough for that, not even close really. I tried stretching the loop and heard the threads popping, whoops! (I'm a guy, we test things!) Some loops are larger than others but none would go over the knob.Sidenote: I noticed a lot of the reviews here weren't even for the above listed towels(13 pack, white with stripes). I wish amazon or the seller would straighten this out for us.

Relatively inexpensive
I have purchased these before, with a couple of minor issues but easy to fix. This batch however, is a far cry from acceptable. I ought to exchange them, but it's too close to Christmas and I need them for gifts... so fix them I must. The cuts are neither even nor square, and the stitching is such that frays are exposed and there are threads everywhere that need to be trimmed. Many (nearly half) of the towels need to be opened up, ironed & trimed to right angles. I suppose it is not that much of a reach, since MOST of the seams need to be opened up and re-stitched to enclose raw and fraying edges. I can honestly say if this had been my first order, rather than my 3rd, I would have returned them anyway. The other 2 orders needed a few fixes in each, but nowhere near the work I have to put in these.Regarding the towel itself - I cannot speak to absorbancy, as I have not used one. So far I have been embroidering for gifts. It is not a heavy tea towel - I believe the tag said flour sack, and I would agree. Not the good flour sack ones you buy at JoAnn's, but more the quality of the thin 12pk you can buy at Sam's Club. That being said, I have found them consistently easy to embroider (I do wash first, to pre-shrink). I can use a water soluable stabilizer on the back, float the towel, and nothing else is needed.

Auntie Ems tea towels
These tea towels are extremely thin. I was not impressed with them but I will use them as craft projects.

Absorbent from Day 1
I've been looking for this kind of dish towel for at least 3 years. Local suppliers do not carry this. These are extremely absorbent. Unlike the potato sack material, these are just cotton. They work well. I don't have to wait until they are weather worn. I sure hope these stay in stock for a long time!!!
