Chef'n Silkster Corn Brush, Removes Silk

Much easier than picking the silk off with your fingers. Just brush it off with this nice kitchen tool.

We live in farm country and eat a lot of corn. I was looking for a simple tool for cleaning and this did the job very well. I am happy with this purchase.

Looses bristle easy

Works very well on removing the silk from our corn harvest before blanching and freezing. Also works great on our potatoes. Shaped nicely to fit comfortably in your hand.

It easily gets rid of 95% of the corn silk. Before I was removing by hand which certainly is one way to do the job. This sweeper makes the job so much easier.

It worked great getting the silks off of the corn. I really like that the bristles are soft & don't tend to bruise the kernals.

I will say that this does work reasonably well. However, after a few months of use, the bristles start to break off. So it won't be long before a) you're washing little pieces of plastic down the drain to pollute the environment and b) there aren't enough bristles left to do the intended job. And unfortunately, being white plastic, they look exactly like little pieces of corn silk, which we ended up dumping into the frying pan and eating once before I noticed. So, love the design, but due to it's lack of durability, will not buy again.
