11144 Utility Gold Hammerhead/Barracuda Hybrid Pump

Pump doesn't flow as stated, runs hotter than it should, and seals fail constantly. The aggravation isn't worth saving $100 it'll take for a good quality pump.

The pump does what it says but its very very loud.I have re plumbed it three times and its God awful. Get a DC pump.

Solid pump. Quiet. Trump approved color scheme.

super quiet after I bolted it down. It has lasted 5 years and is still going but the flow rate is starting to slow a little so I going to buy a backup. My utilities bill dropped after I switched to this pump.

I came across The Reeflo Hammerhead/Barracuda external pump after my Performance Pro with the same high quality motor finally died after running 24/7 365 days a year in all kinds of weather for 15 years. I needed a replacement to run my 1500 gallon koi pond, and noticed a lot of the pond stores were re-branding the Reeflo under their own names, and although they cost hundreds less than the Performance Pro, they offered the same Baldor motor which is the best. I decided to look into Reeflo directly, and found the Reeflo Gold Hammerhead/Barracuda which carrys a 5 year warranty and allows you to interchange between 4000 GPH and 6000 GPH. I could not believe that the specs were the same as the Performance Pro which costs double and has only a 3 year warranty, I purchased it, and it has been running superb for 6 months. I am really happy with it. The most important thing with these Reeflo pumps is the Baldor motor which only the GOLD model has. They run cool, super quiet. and are the most dependable you can buy. I am really happy I gave it a try.
