I wish the spaces were just a little further apart, as I used okocat pellet litter. So I do have to give it an extra Shake. I'll tell you though, this scoop drives through a litter box, like a bulldozer. It makes scooping so much easier. Totally worth the price. If it ever breaks, I hope they're still selling them. I see this item lasting a long time, and not having to buy anymore scoops. Although by another company I do really love the plastic scoop with the round holes, as it works great with okocat, sadly it breaks easily. Thanks so much for making scooping easier!Update 4/4/18. I'm in love with this scoop! I switched to Okocat feather weight litter. This scoop goes through it So easy. I hope it never breaks. I might buy another one for backup!4/19/18 I just ordered a back up. Just in case! I'm more afraid they will stop making it.

I’ve been using this scoop multiple times a day for the last two years. I can tell you it’s the best scoop I have ever used. We have 9 cats and this scoop gets a work out. It is in the same condition now as when I bought it. Very sturdy, very well-made and also made in the United States. That still matters to me. The scoop is sturdy and you don’t have to be real careful trying not to break it like you must do with the plastic ones. The scoop is solid stainless steel superstrong and you can dig with confidence. I can’t say enough about this scoop. I have never seen it for sale anywhere else other than Amazon. I highly recommend this scoop to anybody looking for a high-quality scoop especially with multi-cat household. It is a little bit expensive and I stress little bit. It is well worth the price. The price only hurts once but quality lasts forever. You will not regret buying the scoop.

This is a great scoop, sifts litter very fast, no need shaking like other scoops waiting for the filler to fall thru, and making dust, just lift, and litter falls through leaving the waste in the scoop, much less dust. The reason I gave 4 stars is that though the sifting part is awesome, the handle is a bit too short, not designed very well, and is a bit uncomfortable. It would be the best scoop ever, if the handle was covered with some soft plastic material, and was an inch or so longer, especially for this high price. We have a rescue, so scooping a dozen boxes three-four times a day is a lot of scooping, and this is the best scoop of 6 or 7 that we have tried.

I never liked the idea of any of the flimsy plastic litter scoops I have seen available. For years I have been using the metal scoop from a "FryDaddy" deep fryer. No really, I would buy them from the FryDaddy website! They weren't perfect and wore out after a few years but they got the job done much better than I could imagine any of the plastic ones I've seen sold all the time.Anyway, I saw this metal scoop for sale and read all of the reviews before making the decision to purchase. It seemed like a good fit and perfect for my needs and I am sooo glad I did! I LOVE THIS SCOOP!Now, it did seem a bit intimidating when I opened the box because the scoop was quite large. But then I discovered that I can get the entire box clean with one scoop! All of the clumped liquids, and any solids that may be there as well, all in one scoop! I am very impressed and I can say that I would recomend it to every one who asked my opinion!The tines are a "tad" too far apart to pick up all of the finer clumps but it is a small price to pay to have the whole box clean at once. The metal is sturdy and I expect to use this scoop for many years to come.

I was going to buy another one of these for my mom and saw that many reviews complained about the handle. I also found the handle less than comfortable so I slipped a 1 and a 1/4 inch length of PVC pipe over the handle to both make it more comfortable and longer so I don't have to bend over as much. I bought this about 2 years ago and it's still going strong. It really is the best and most durable scoop you can buy. I use clumping litter and a large storage container with a cat size hole in the side as a litter box. Three scoops to clean the whole box and you are done for the day. see photo.

Love this scoop! Works amazingly well. It is the only one that worked for the chunky Okocat litter for me and it sifts beautifully. Worth every penny.UPDATE: I still love this scoop but I wanted to give a few observations. I switched between chunky to small Okocat litter and it worked even better. However, it really misses a lot of small pieces with both litters. I wish it had smaller holes or no holes at all at the very tip for about an inch so that you can use that area to pick them up. I might have to thread some stainless steel wire through and adjust it myself.UPDATE #2: Switched back from small to chunky Okocat clumping litter (because of dust) and noticed a few more things. I wish the scoop was "deeper" and not so shallow. It is a rather wide and long scoop which is awesome, but once you load it with litter and pieces of "debris", the debris falls out right over the edges before it gets a chance to be sifted. It forces me to scoop only half way to the bottom of the litter box and not all the way to the bottom which increases the scooping time 2X.I think the problem is also the way the scoop tapers from shallow to deep when looking at it from front to back. It is a VERY gradual change unlike some other larger scoops (Catit for example) which taper much more abruptly which allows them to accommodate a larger volume of litter and stuff.Another design suggestion would be to make it deeper in the middle and less around the edges so in a way to force the material away from the edges and into the middle - like a funnel effect.Again, I am using chunky litter and this is still the best one I tried and I tried a lot of them. I am sure for anyone who is using smaller grain litter (like clay) it will sift way faster, but for people such as myself, I am still on the lookout for an ideal scooper although this one comes the closest which is why I will leave the 5 star rating.
