Custom Knife Quality BUT....
Very well made knife with fantastic attention to detail. Gorgeous anode patterned anodizing on the scales. Have been using it as my edc for over a month now. I use my knives daily at work and home, and do not baby them. So far it is great. Has broken in nicely and is very easy to deploy with the flipper, lock bar has exhibited no sticking at all. impressive. Factory grind was a little off. It came with a sharp and toothy but inconsistent edge. I recut it to 25 degrees and polished the edge with 1 micron diamond lapping compound on a leather strop. Takes a fantastic edge and is relatively easy to sharpen and bring back with a few swipes on a strop. Very impressive for the price. Now the negatives. The pocket clip, as delivered has a very sharp and pointy end, that sticks you right in the fingers when trying to use the knife or unlock the blade to close it. Took five mutes to remove the clip grind and polish off the point and replace. Looks like it should have been made that way to begin with. The steel does indeed appear to be real S35VN. That is awesome when you consider that many Chinese knives claim to be using different high end steels when in fact they are made from the cheapest crap imaginable. I am in manufacturing and this is a common problem with almost anything sourced from China. BUT....the heat treat leaves a little to be desired. To fully take advantage of the properties of S35VN it should be heat treated and then tempered at least twice, with a cryo treatment between the tempers...to a Rockwell of 60-62. Mine tests at 57-58. The good about that means that it is a very tough blade that will roll the edge rather than chip or break when coming in contact with metal or bone. The bad news is that the edge retention is only mediocre. Considering that 99% of us will never be batonning wood or trying to chop through bone with it, I think they really missed the mark here by not taking the time to do the heat treat right. Overall it is a very beautiful knife, very well made, light for it's size, butter smooth action and lockup. Very comparable in design and attention to detail as a Rick Hinderer knife, but they missed the mark on the heat treat. Fantastic knife if you don't mind maintaining the edge but if you are going to use it daily and only sharpen it once a year or so you will be extremely disappointed.

Great looking full size folder made with quality materials and workmanship.
This is a smoothly operating beautiful knife. The handle is contoured to fit my hand nicely, with 3 stand offs for a solid look and feel. There is no sticking in the frame lock, and the finish is nice. The blade pivots into place easily with just a hint of wrist movement. The clip placement is my favorite spot, tip down left pocket carry, however it can't be changed. (No problem for me) The blade is a sturdy, practical design with a hint of recurve. Evenly ground blade is well centered, pretty sharp, and locks up solidly. The box is labeled KI401X on one end and Ki4401X-BLUE on the other end.The knife is labeled Ki4401X on the blade. The other side of the blade is marked with the Kizer label with the K in a circle (different than pictured but matches the box and the same as some of their other knives) and S35VN. Fit and finish are very nice, and the hardware appears to be of good quality. A minor note is that the slotted side of the blade pivot fastener is very slightly rough on my copy. The thumb jimping could be a little more aggressive, but the finger guard is very good. All in all I am well pleased with this knife and find the finish very attractive. Be sure to check the measurements, it is a little on the large side for every day carry, but everyone loves this knife.

Amazing knife from Kizer!
Not only is this a truly beautiful knife but the quality is through the roof! Stunning coloring on the titanium scales. Blade is perfect, shaving sharp out of the box, bevels are even, and dead center when closed. Flipper blade pops right out with finger pressure only. This was my first Kizer knife but it definitely won't be my last!

Great Knife. no play at all the tolerances on ...
Great Knife. no play at all the tolerances on this thing is amazing for the price. I did receive the knife inside a nice box and inside a pouch with a microfiber cloth with the Kizer logo on it. The knife was really oily all over(the blade and handle). If you get it like that just wipe it with rubbing alcohol and it comes right off. The color is beautiful and the knife was much bigger than i thought it would be and it has a tip down or up option but you need a torx driver to change it.

Love Kizer knives
Great combination of quality materials & workmanship at a very reasonable price; wish they were made in America. The Chinese are getting better & will give US manufacturers a run for their money just as the Japanese have so successfully done. Competition is good.
