Double strand crocheting
Very helpful to reduce yarn tangle when crocheting with 2 skeins of DK yarn. I found placing yarn holder “lower” than where you’re sitting improves unwinding . Would recommend.

Works better than more expensive yarn holders

Works great but the little rubber cushions for the bottom didn't last a week before they came off.
Love the color and that everything is nicely finished and smooth. Works great with regular and cotton yarn. I like that it's metal on metal where the spindle goes into the base. It turns very smoothly. Little pricey but is decently made. Only problem was the little self stick buttons for on the bottom of the base. They didn't last a week before they had come off. I will purchase another as I usually have several works in progress so I don't have to keep changing the skeins

A scant 4 stars…it works and solved a problem……but it’s kind of delicate.
Long story short, I agreed to make a lace veil for a friend’s kid out of 2 different coned threads. I needed a double spindled holder or it was going to be super annoying to complete. This did work out for me and I am grateful it did. I did have some issues. This holder really slides all over the place. I had it on a no skid mat and that did not help. I’m going to have to figure something out prior to using it again. I am a fast knitter and I spent a ton of time having to reposition the base. The spindles are lightly attached to the base so you need to pull thread or tarn pretty gently. My second issue it that this only works with open topped cones. One of the threads I needed to use was on a closed top cone. I had to wrangle the threads down so I could cut the top off for it to fit on the spindle. My fault for not realizing that but something to be aware of.I did get my project done on time and it ended up working pretty well once I got both cones on properly. My husband came up with a bungee cord solution to hold it in place. It will skate around if you pull on the thread/yarn too vigorously.

Two more Skeins
Like having two extra hands to hold my yarn when I do a multi colored project. The poles turn well and the look is very pleasing. Helpful to unwind without worrying the yarn will fall on the floor. My first set came with the peg/screw at the bottom being at an angle. I returned it easily and had another one sent out that day. This one had to screws in properly and it works well.

A SmartyPants Invention & Design
I really like this product. It's great when using two strands of yarn. They spin Individually yet keep them flowing towards you easily.I figured out as bit of a trick....When you have to roll up a skein, TRY using either toilet paper or even better, paper towel rolls, (cut to size). Depending on size of skein, you may need a few rolls. Now you've got them all ready to go. put 2 on the other spindle not using and they are safe, ready to go.heres the best tip, with any ball, even with the spinning spindle, the yarn on the bottom, resting on the bottom of the ball can get stuck. I've found if you put another paper roll on the spindle first, then the yarn roll you are using on top of that roll, you'll have a much easier time crocheting or knitting, without it getting stuck every couple of revolutions. I've found if I'm working on THE bed or on couch with feet on the table,,,all I need to do is give a little nudge with toes and off it goes. Free and easy unspooling yarn, moving nary a muscle!!!!🙃😜😷,!!!Seroiusly, I came across this on Amazon and was so happy. I knew about single spindles, but I was about to make a large basket and I needed two balls of yarn at once. It worked like a charm!!!Sometimes if you need 3 strands, then you can add the old bowl with a large folder clip, [learned from TL Yarn Caft- Toni Lipsey, Crocheter, Educator, You Tube podcaster]. But don't pass up this double spindle. You'll regret it!!!!!!

Lovely but doesn’t work for me
So first of all this is a gorgeous piece. Well crafted and packaged. It arrived undamaged and I loved. Unfortunately it doesn’t work for my intended purpose. I spin yarn and I needed a lazy Kate to hold my bobbins while plying. My bobbins (for the spin-e-kube) fit around the top but because the poles are tapered they don’t slide all the way down which makes the whole item unbalanced. I’m still keeping it for center pull balls. Because it’s so lovely but will need to keep looking for one for wheel.

Great for knitters
I am a long time knitter and wanted to try out a yarn holder that would smoothly dispense yarn while knitting without having to run and catch my ball of yarn when it rolled away. This product is perfect! I am currently knitting both sleeves of a sweater at one time and this allows me to do so without the hassle of tangled balls. I highly recommend it!

Wonderful yarn holder
This yarn holder came on time. It was easy to put together and the little silicon feet keep it from moving when on the table. The spindles are long and hold a large ball of yarn. The spindles spin freely. Overall a great product.

Two Yarn Cake Holder
This yarn cake holder is perfect for colour work where you have to use two colours or if you’re using hand yarn and you need to alternate between skeins. No more yarn getting twisted together or unravelled. The spindles are taller than most so you use larger yarn balls/skeins. No negative points.
